So the backstory:

1. I intended to paint the boat this spring, but other work took longer than I thought it would and as such decided I’d rather sail than wait for a good paint window
2. I race, and the boat is Federally registered so I need a name on it.
3. There was confusion about my handicap so I solved it.
4. I sort of wanted to “try on” the black cove stripe for when I do the proper paint job, and I love the way it looks!

So the plan for the spring is to properly repaint, and then stencil on the name rather than freehand sharpie.

For now, and especially Chester this year, we’re leaning into the jalopy vibes.
