One the hull catches it is as good as gone. You aren't putting it out with anything onboard. Hell a firetruck likely couldn't put it out just speed it to the bottom with extra water.
Boat caught fire in our marina and by some miracle fire dept got their before it spread to other boats. They intentionally sunk it to contain the threat. Half the crew adding water to the boat on fire to get it to sink, the other half spraying down the nearby boats and docks.
