anyone have experience shining up chrome trim on a 60's car. even the stuff around the windows. my stuff is kind of pitted but does clean up ok.

how do you get rid of the pitting. maybe some 1500 grit sand paper and some buffing? rechroming isnt really an option right now just going for better than it currently is.
