Active aero flap design

I was really inspired by the hoonigan‘s Subaru with active aero. I know it’s a lot more complex, but I believe adding plates on either side that pop up and a “kick” (idk a better name for it) in the back would help produce more downforce since the air can’t as easily spill off the sides. I also want it to return flush to the body panels- I’m gonna run it through a cfd simulation soon to get some real data on it. Has anyone got any experience with this though? Bc im h just spitballing here and seeing what works (and looks cool)

Loving the lip at the end.

Are you planning to go 200?

No experience with building this stuff, but following because this is cool. What's your plan for powering the actuator?

Gonna use a 12 volts electric motor on a lead screw to “pull” it along with a linear potentiometer to track where it is so I can tune it for different driving modes

Looks like a fun 3d printing project

I’m gonna 3d print the mold but make the final assembly out of carbon fiber!

Run some geometry calcs too, to figure out if the leverage is enough.
Would suck to make it, and have the actuator bust through the construction.
