Custom door harness advice

Is there sone kind of tutorial or forum post on how I could create my own door wiring? I'm not new to creating my own connections and wirings, but I never had to make anything waterproof before. So, sadly the part where the wires are flexing between the door and body are disintegrating, with a couple of wires completely broken right at the plug, and the original style connectors (and pins) are basically unobtanium. The only thing I can think of is getting some kind of universal plug(s) that I can just toss into the door (or chassis), but the original rubber protecting slips onto the giant connector it's using right now. So basically without the original connector there's nowhere to plug the rubber end onto or into, and on top of that on the chassis theres a rectangular cutout, so those normal round ones are not even usable here. So, what should I do? Should I just weld the original holes in with some sheet metal and drill them out to those universal rubber hose's size? I'm genuinely lost here. I also don't know what these parts are usually called, so doing research is pretty hard. Any advice is appreciated!

This is where the junkyard is your friend

I kinda agree, but the problem is that these cars have been out of production for 20 years, so these cables are pretty much all trash. I work at a junkyard tho, and we do have this type of connector with a good bit of cable, but even the wires that are still in one piece are very stiff, I feel like the insulation could crack on them anytime.

True, but I was thinking of something off a newer car that can be adapted to yours

Wow I didn't even think about that... I'll look around if I can find something similar from other car makes, best would be if they use the same kind of pins so I can just replace the individual wires. Thanks for the idea!
