Should I use a ram drive as storage

So I’ve been contemplating for a while whether I should use a ram drive to store Rust. I’m aware due to the fact that ram is volatile I would need to reinstall it every time I restart my pc (which is only during windows software updates) but is the start time worth it? And would it make a difference at all?
I also don’t currently have the ram to do this so it will be quite expensive.

Why just not get an SSD?

I’ve seen people say that it can improve the launch speed of games and was just curious because to be honest right now my rust takes forever to launch

Just don’t so stupid shit because of a hunch.

No, but building on a RAM drive (tmpfs) is something I did all the time when I was running Slackware.

Yeah I just realized I probably should have specified but yeah the game

Consider that the RAM used for the game's installation is not going to be available for the game to use as RAM.

Wtf dude, why do you even need this?

I spend hours on rust and often find myself getting raided while on my pc but by the time I’ve loaded in it’s too late

Ram drives are just...
It's a cool idea in theory, it's not really practical in real use, and you also said you don't even have the ram to do it

No, you shouldn't. You can if you think it'd be a fun project or something. But you asked if you should. And you shouldn't
Kr1sys@reddit
No, and it would offer you no benefit
