Probably would go like new Renault 5 which is a crossover with retro look. Consider Renault 5 being successful, I can see STLA looking their buyers.

The 5 is a hatch and Lancia already has the Y in the same segment. If they keep it in line with the older generations, the new Delta should be targeting things like the Megane, Golf/ID3, etc. I really hope they don't pull a Capri on this one, there's plenty of greek letters they can use for that

I presume the delta in rear suspension design will be as large as the Grand Canyon.

It always bugged me that there weren't that many delta comparisons when the ioniq 5 came out

Funnily enough, the current Opel Astra is perfect to turn it into a Lancia Delta. It has somewhat slightly boxy shape. All you need to do is put for round headlights in the front, change the rearlight design.
cilantno@reddit
In b4 jokes about it being an EV CUV

From the article: "the next Delta could be twinned with the Opel Mokka crossover."
And
" But we do know that the hottest CMP platform cars, like the Ypsilon HF, Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce, and recently announced Peugeot E-208 GTI use an electric motor with 280 horsepower and 245 pound-feet of torque. Autocar suspects this is the drivetrain the Delta HF Integrale would get.
So yes, it will probably be an electric crossover

The sane comment is on every thread and somehow still gets upvotes

With a flappy paddle CVT somehow and FWD only.
Bet they'll promote it with a corny "fellow kids" commercial with some early 20's chick going the speed limit and cutting through some alleyways with a slushee in the cup holder as she drives by some awestruck skateboarders. Because it'll be "sporty".
Jk, just being a lil cynical. Anything Lancia I'm here for. 037 is my dream car after all.
Uptons_BJs@reddit
What even is the upcoming Lancia Delta? The Delta Integrale was the “go fast” version of the Delta, but we haven’t even see the Delta yet.
All we know is that Lancia will make a go fast version of the Delta.

Another Pugeot I bet.
Froloswaggin@reddit
guessing this is inline with the stratos coming back as well it would seem. all for lancia reviving old namesakes. stratos looks absolutely mental so cant wait to see what they do with the delta.
PanadaTM@reddit
I can't possibly see this ending well
caterham09@reddit
I'm all for more enthusiast focused vehicles. Can't ever complain about more options.
It's hard not to be cynical about a stellantis product though.
