5070 ti or 9070 xt

I want to upgrade my GPU (and maybe CPU), I can buy the "MSI 5070 ti shadow 3X OC" or the "Sapphire pulse RX 9070 XT". the 5070 ti is 100$ over the 9070, what should I buy and why? I also thought about buying the i5 14400.
my pc usage is:
gta 5, some graphics games like cyberpunk or rdr2 but not too much, simulators like DCS or msfs, pcvr on quest 3, my main monitor is 3440x1440.
my setup rn is:
b660
32gb ddr4 3200 Mhz
i5 12400
EVGA 3070 ti

Depends on the price,
if it is 1000$ vs 1100$ i'd go 5070ti,
if it is 700 vs 800 i'd go 9070 XT
14400 vs 12400 fps improvement is in the single digit % for most games, so i wouldn't consider that

why that? I updated the post, 5070 ti is 1050$ and the and is 950$

From what i have seen from benchmanrks the 5070 ti is about 7% better in raw performance,
has better technology stack, for which i'd round it up to sy the 5070 ti is 10% better than the 9070XT,
I do not value Upscaling to highly and Framegen seams to be utterly useless to me, input lag feels way worse to me than lower framrate

for the 100$ more (which is 10%), you get better quality upscaling, more frame generation, more game support those feature as well. And the 5070Ti is on avg around 5-10% faster as well. Not really noticeable, but hey faster is faster.

If only $100 difference, 5070ti is no-brainer

5070 ti
I recommend you to check number of ROP count (some cards have 88 instead of 96)

5070 Ti is the answer. I've owned both.

With those prices (950 vs 1050), definitely go with the 5070 ti, no question.
Simply for the fact that it's much more convenient and hassle-free to use the newest dlss.
VR also tends to run better on nvidia (used to mess around with a HP reverb in DCS), though I haven't been in the VR loop for some time.
Also helps that the 5070 ti has faster vram, and nvidia usually uses 5-10% less vram (different texture compression or something like that).

Sapphire is cool 👍

My biggest consideration is the fact that the MSI shadow is the cheapest 5070 ti with low quality components as I understood

Get the 5070ti.
100 bucks is worth the extra stuff nvidia has.

I wouldnt buy a fuckin Ventus from MSI.
Cheaped out on PCB components, cooler is not amazing and overall the Ventus/Shadows arent really long lived.
Get the Sapphire Pulse or the cheaper Asus Prime/AsRock Steel Legend version

Both cards have similar perf in game, but DLSS4 gives the 5070ti an edge.
If there's 50-100€/$ difference ICD get a 5070ti.
I'm in the same situation, but I went for a 9070xt because I found one for dirt cheap (650€ new) and with supers around the corner ICM hoping to snag one on release and sell my 9070xt to some AMD fanatic.

5070ti for dlss 4 and $100 is worth it over the xt
