Never understood the appeal of this design type, seems to combine the negatives of many different types of bikes with few of the positives.

It doesn't look like a bicycle, so you're understandably going to get nasty looks and comments. There's nowhere to put proper storage or bags, so it's not useful for carrying anything. The seat can't be adjusted so it sucks for pedaling. The riding angle also seems pretty awkward, though that depends more on rider height/dimensions.

At least it has good fenders unlike some versions I've seen.

I love the way it looks, but I steered clear of this design because of noisy Karen types. You could have a faster bike, but if it looks like a bike, most people won't say anything, so long as you're not ripping past them at 30+ mph.

I've seen plenty of videos with people who have bikes that look motorcycles or dirt bikes getting harassed, or having the cops called on them.

Yeah, that's why I said it attracts negative attention. IMO if you're going to have an extra-legal bike, even if it's in a grey area you think is acceptable, it's better to have one that looks more like a normal bicycle.

I have this bike's brother, the Movcan V60. The seat is actually amazing and probably the best seat I've ever sat on a bike, and long so you adjust your seating position comfortably. My butt NEVER gets sore not even after riding for over an hour. The seat cant be raised or lowered so it needs to fit the rider's size.

Never had an issue with locking the bike on a designated rack, I use a long U-lock.

The company itself sells front/rear racks.

I've biked for nearly 20 years. Padded normal seats aren't hard to find, and it's rarely ever my butt that's sore on a longer ride if I'm riding in a way that makes sense, even when using throttle-only.

I'm not saying the design is totally unworkable, just that it's more negatives than not compared to a more conventional design.

This is a rack in name only, it's almost useless for holding anything. Even their front rack isn't going to hold much, it's extremely tiny and has no wheel support.

I use a long U-lock.

Which are the worst type - still better than a cable/chain obviously, but they're prone to being crow-bar'd.

Sometimes one's negatives might be another's positives. Everything isn't made for everyone.

They are a pretty popular style. A lot of the appeal is probably there looks. They look cooler than a normal bicycle. Like most motorcycles there isn't much room for storage but most aren't riding these to move stuff. It's too have fun and get out of the house. These are more intended to be driving by throttle so most do not worry about seat height to pedals. They just want their feet to be flat on the ground. It has two batteries so it should get decent mileage on throttle.

These bikes usually offer quite a bit for the price also. Two batteries suspension and so on.

Imo, the basic banana seats from a normal bicycle are uncomfortable for 30+ minute rides. With these kinds of seats, you can slide forward or back to find a good spot or adjust mid-ride. Pedaling isn't awkward either.

Not certain about this exact model either, but I have a moped-style and the seat can be taken off to allow saddle-type bags. Lift off seat, install bags, put seat back on (I haven't invested yet, but I plan to)

I have the DNM Burner at 200mm for a little extra height because I'm a big guy. The DNM Torch would work as well if you don't want to spend 100+. Honestly any after market rear shock would be better than the one that comes with it as it's very basic

Absolutely awesome bike. I love mine, I've had since January. Very comfortable to ride for hours no problem. I do pedal comfortably but I'm 5'9 and it seems made for my height. I highly recommend these dual sport tires. Huge upgrade over stock. And they're cheaper than other 'ebike' branded tires. *

i got this same exact one, almost 200mi now. i got a full face helmet n gloves, as well as some good locks. i ride in front of cops all the time n none care. gets me to work every day. it’s great and really fun. i’m 5’8 and the height is perfect for me and i can pedal easily, it’s just pretty heavy so i stay in gears 1-2 if im not throttling. the seat is crazy comfy - my butt never hurts ever regardless of how long i go.

I would highly recommend staying 30 or lower in most scenarios. You're not likely to achieve a safe braking distance in an emergency above that.

It's also illegal in most places, and while I'd say it's borderline grey area, your bike doesn't look like a bicycle so it will get additional scrutiny/attention if you ride it that fast.
