My dad loved this movie. All I remember is when he ran on water.
ManiacRichX@reddit
I just watched this the other night, I have fond memories as a kid watching this with my dad.
HanDavo@reddit
I rewatched it recently and was surprised to recognize a young Captain Janeway, (Kate Mulgrew), as the love interest.
hucklesnips@reddit
Yup - loved it back in the day.
Burquenobueno@reddit
I quote Chun all the time at work. Particularly:"perfection is a road not a destination."
quinmck@reddit
My middle name is Remo, so this one hit hard.
Weak_Radish966@reddit
They had this VHS at my local library, so I've seen it like 100 times.
OkBaconBurger@reddit
Oh snap. This is the one where he runs on water as part of his training.
cranialvoid@reddit
Remo has to run on sand and leave no footprint behind. Chiun runs on water at the end of the movie. Joel Grey only took the part if they could make it look convincingly like an older Korean.
Human-Put-5569@reddit
Of course. So later he can leave light footprints in the cement and have the bad guys sink into it several feet not realizing it was deep and he was walking on water essentially.
OkBaconBurger@reddit
I remember really enjoying this. Thanks for refreshing my memory.

I use two fingers to punch holes in random shit every chance I get.
hippity_bop_bop@reddit
I finger bang my gal's wrist every chance too
therexbellator@reddit
Love this movie. This was the first movie I went to theatres by myself to see. What I would give for Jon Bernthal to be cast in a reboot too bad
hippity_bop_bop@reddit
Oh wow Bernthal does give off some Ward energy good call
hippity_bop_bop@reddit
The soap operas were the best. "You can be an All American in courage"
wacko42@reddit
For those unaware, this film was based on a long running series of novels, The Destroyer.
BreadfruitMany5477@reddit
Watched it dozens of times after school, or, on occasion, when I was “sick”
deowolf@reddit
I have this comic, that no one will accept as theirs
JuliusSeizuresalad@reddit
Such a strange yet amazing movie. I watched it many times
zombiealavodka@reddit
Waited and waited. No part 2
SciFi_MuffinMan@reddit
I’m still waiting. It’ll happen.
Snowqueenhibiscus@reddit
Wait, Joel Grey? Like, Tony winning Cabaret MC Joel Grey?
Flat-While2521@reddit
Yeah, he’s…well, in this one he’s Asian.
Snowqueenhibiscus@reddit
I just found out he got a GOLDEN GLOBE for this????
Uriel_on_my_left@reddit
Looks like he got a nomination, but lost to Klaus Maria Brandauer for his role in Out of Africa. But still!
Flat-While2521@reddit
To be fair, it was a heckofa performance
Snowqueenhibiscus@reddit
OH NO
Rosserman@reddit
Once upon a time, this was my favorite movie.
wraith1984@reddit
RIP Fred Ward... he was legendary in Tremors 1 and 2.
Helo7606@reddit
Best story I can say about this movie. So it got played on regular TV back in the day. And instead of the normal bleep they would do for swear words. They just silenced the swear. So there's a scene where the guy says " What do you have, shit for brains?". And instead it comes off as "What do you have...... brains?" It was so hilarious that that was how they censored it.
DHammer79@reddit
Let me guess wilford brimley plays an old man with a mustache.
asstyrant@reddit
...with diabeetus
Wrex_n_effect@reddit
REO_Speed_Dragon@reddit
Woah wait a minute we got the Tremors guy and the Diabeetus guy in the same movie?
Level_Improvement532@reddit
Fred Ward is a national treasure and also Joe Dirt’s dad

_ShesARainbow_@reddit
No! I am better than that.
TheEschatonSucks@reddit
Loved it.
Does not hold up. 🤣
_ShesARainbow_@reddit
I watched it for the first time recently. As long as you keep in mind when it was made it was an entertaining movie.
_ShesARainbow_@reddit
My fiancé made me watch this very recently just for the closing line. He likes to quote it but of course I didn't get why it was funny so I had to watch the entire movie just so that I would understand 😂
Lumbee_Proud@reddit
Hell yea!!!
psychoholic@reddit
Some say the adventure is still going.
reillan@reddit
Do you know why Americans call it fast food? Because it speeds them on the way to the grave.
ModBabboo@reddit
One of my absolute favourite '80s movie posters. I remember staring up at it in the video store when I was 5.
TickleWitch@reddit
Fuck yeah! Let the adventure continue!
