So, I've been around awhile, a very long while, but I still don't know what to do when there's no loads. I'm Pulling pneumatic tank and I haven't moved since Thursday. Now dispatch says, I won't move till Wednesday, IF then! I've been here a year now and this is the first time I've been beached longer than 2 days. South cental Illinois if anyone cares.

Swift is slow right now too, had messages daily for the past 2 weeks warning about slow freight and short miles because of the 4th of July. Everyong in the warehouses are out on vacation right now

Look for a better job since you're sitting there , try environmental companies GFL clean harbors ect, and then tell them I'm heading to house till ya find me work

Nope,they be getting that truck back ASAP……to that end I worked 9 days in May and June will clock 11 days. I am paid a salary though and all this downtime I am at home.

You staying in a hotel or are you stuck in the bunk? Are you at least getting layover pay? I'm surprised specialized commodities are getting struggles, it's easily going to be a hundred Vans to each operating pneumatic. You might want to start brushing off your resume, or contacting other opportunities.

I'd be telling the company in no short words that they are sending me deadhead back to a terminal, and they can call me when they have work. I'd stay out for layover pay, but if there's no financial incentive for them to find work. I wouldn't be sitting in their truck.

TBF the load board I use is not well known for pneumatic tank loads, but the only one I see listed is from Troutville, VA to Winston-Salem, NC.
