General Overview
Sooo this is a review of the AMYET S8 e-bike. Some general overview would include its dual motor speed and torque, new top speed of 33 mph (35 for me when I first got it but 28 after I damaged the motor), and its long seat with passenger foot pegs allowing for 2 people to sit on the bike assuming yall are normal sized people. ;)
But for this review, I'm going to try and split it into as many categories as I can think of and rate the bike on each category.
The Frame
Alright, I know what everyone is thinking, right? Stupid Chinese Amazon e-bike prolly has a shit frame. Honestly, it really doesn't. Yes, it's not Super 73 build quality, but it's not even like "You're getting what you paid for." Truth is, you're getting a lot more. For example, I've taken this bike jumping (not crazy ones) but minimal ones that you would expect for an e-bike that's more fit for jumping (not Surron level, but think like small mountain bike jumps), and the bike holds up perfectly. Has no issues with it. The frame never broke on me or anything, it's not super trash like the way people talk about Amazon e-bikes on this Reddit, it's good. Well tbh idk what exactly is considered good so when I say good, I mean that this bike has a strong frame that doesn't just break easily, and is sturdy enough that if you or you're kids wanna try doing those crazy lean Moto GP turns, and you crash, the bikes frame will be fine. Just a couple scratches, but personally, I had nothing more than that.
Motor
Like I first said, it's a dual motor e-bike, and when I first bought it, it went 35 stock. But now, on their website and Amazon link, they say 33 mph is the bike's top speed, but tbh I think that's just an error. Sadly for me, though, my bike now goes around 28mph due to my likely damaging the motor from trying to wheelie with no brakes. I personally never had issues with the motor, and it's honestly a really fun bike. Now we get to the more stupid but cool part about this bike. Now maybe it's cuz of something I did to this bike, but it just sounds really cool when I put it into dual motor, and I just full throttle it. The sound of the e-bike just makes it more fun for me, even though it's something really small. Maybe it's because I'm really into motorcycles, but if anyone was wondering that, your question has been answered.
Battery
Style 1: If you live in a super urban area with lots of turns or whatever, but you still go as fast as you can whenever you can, then I can confidently say you can get a solid 15 miles of range. Assuming you're in dual motor the entire time. My prediction (key word prediction) if you did this in a single motor would be like 20-23 miles.
Style 2: If you're the type of person to use pedal assist and go as fast as you can, you can very likely get 23-27 miles of range, if not more. The reason for this wide category is that I did it twice and got one on both ends of that spectrum, so I say it also depends on the terrain.
Style 3: If you're in a regular environment or whatever, like with a regular # of turns, long paths to go full speed, and you go on a single motor, you can get like 23-25 miles of range.
Ride Quality and Comfort
So this bike is honestly super comfortable. And like I've said before, the seat is long enough to fit an extra passenger, and foot pegs are included. The stock suspension on this bike is super good, and I cannot tell you the number of times I've had friends on the back of this bike with me, and they all asked me about how it's so bouncy and plush. It's honestly gotta be the best suspension I've seen on an e-bike for this price.
Breaks
Personally, I have had issues with my brakes from the beginning, but many other people's reviews on this bike say the opposite. I personally feel like it's due to my more aggressive riding style, in which I go as fast as I can and suddenly stop if I see a child or car coming by. Not the safest, but still pretty safe, but more importantly, it's fun. Like boring rides to school turn fun (personally.)
Tires
Honestly, there's not much to say about this because the tires are fine. They could very definitely be better, but they definitely do the job for this price, you know? I would say around 800 miles, you might wanna look into replacing the rear tire for more grip if you wanna keep doing those MotoGP turns and have more stability, which is very important btw. But don't let this discourage you because this bike is definitely the best bang for the buck bike out there.
Handling and Stability
Never had an issue with stability or anything with this bike other than when I had to get that rear tire replaced, which ran me around 50 bucks for a great tire (assuming you got a good bike repair shop near yall). The only thing I don't like about this bike, which I feel might fall into this category, is the handlebars. They're not your typical e-bike handlebars. Imagine you see one of those corny dudes on Harleys revving their bikes as they try to go fast on their stupid 500-pound bikes. It's that type of handlebars, but definitely not at their level of stupidness. Like I've seen this on a bunch of other bikes too, but I prefer the alternative.
Safety Lights
Everything here is self-explanatory, so imma just list the features:
1. Turn Signals (although small, so not as much noticeable as I would like it to be)
2. Halo Light (on the front, looks super cool but not bright)
3. Bigger light in middle of halo (Can be turned on and off with a simple switch, pretty bright, just make sure you position the headlight properly so it illuminates the ground and not the sky like I did...)
4. Break lights on the back
5. Not exactly a light, but a simple switch to go from single motor to dual motor.
6. Also, not exactly a light, but a nice horn that can be pressed with a simple button and doesn't sound obnoxious.
Who do I recommend this to?
I honestly don't even know. Everyone is different but for me going into this I expected to ride it to school and back, groceries, hanging out with friends (assuming its not like within 7 miles max of my house) and this bike did all that while giving me the speed, the sound (ik it sounds stupid) while being reliable. While I did go into this bike for this purpose, I also began to take it to the beach and stuff by getting an extra battery. So make sure y'all do you're research, and then buy this bike if and only if you believe it's the right fit for you. Don't get scared by that or the paragraph below this.
Legal Disclaimer:
1. TBH (to be honest), I don't know why I am putting this here, but just in case some weirdo wants to sue me over this or whatever, cuz I see idiots online doing this type of stuff. So here it is:
Your experience with the bike can and might, and will be different than mine. Do not use anything I said as your final choice for buying this bike, and make sure to only use this as a guideline for considering a purchase of this bike. Ultimately, I claim no responsibility if you bought this bike, and something went wrong with it, which I didn't put in this review because it didn't happen to me.
KEY INFO:
Their support team is alright. Takes a while to respond sometimes goes for a week or two with no response but ultimately I've had all my issues resolved. It could be different for you but I'm not making promises.
AND BTW, IF YALL HAVE QUESTIONS JS ASK!!!

You mentioned the foot pegs. When this bike first came out there were complains that the foot pegs got in the way of pedalling because they were place too far up front. And I thin the pegs also folded forwards.
Seems maybe they fixed it now? But they don't really seem to have changed anything since a couple fo years ago.
DaRealFindingNemo@reddit
Yoo this is the OP on another account but yeah they fixed that up for sure. In fact I actually got that bike stolen and got the same one of it and the new one has a different headlight, button thingies that look better and seems just better looking due to the minor improvements. I bought it on Ali express and got it in one day for under a 1000 compared to when I bought it on Amazon for like a 1200. And it’s the exact same thing but like with better customer service except I noticed when I text them Saturday they don’t reply till it’s like Monday for me so I think they take off on Sunday and Monday for them but if I text them in the morning they always reply by night. So I would suggest getting the ebike there and they ship replacements hella fast and easy too.
DaRealFindingNemo@reddit
I should clarify when I say one day I mean one full day and the morning before but I ordered it around 11PM the night before said full day. I don’t wanna look like I’m contradicting myself compared to the other reply I put in this thread lmao.
Past-Call6005@reddit
Got mine for 800 last year genuinely can't beat it the price range
TokyoTyx@reddit
Hey, if you still remember, where did you get it for 800? I'm looking to get one but I mostly see em around $900-$1000
DaRealFindingNemo@reddit
Yooo what up. I got my ebike stolen, and bought the same one from Ali Express. And it came in like 2 days later. Wondering if you had bought or purchsed anything.
BoughtNCopp@reddit (OP)
Honestly I think with tarrifs and overall increasing prices, 800 was definitely in the past but I would just buy the bike from Ali now. It’s about 930 rn but it should be going down to 840 soon w/free shipping in the states. Here’s the link btw in case you’re still interested. But I’ll be totally honest, if you have a better price range that you are willing to spend on a bike and core features you expect in a e-bike, and some nice additional add on, I’m sure I can find some and give you some rlly good recs for you. Just lmk. But anyways here is the link:
htpps://a. ali express .com/_m0XwOS1
(the reason it’s like that is so the auto mod doesn’t remove my comment just in case) but just remove the space)
By the way the 850 dollar price tag is set to be on November 1st which is soon but idk how long that’s gonna last incase anyone else sees it by then but I would still consider checking it out lmao.

It is lmao. And I take back what I said about their support. Their support reached out hella fast considering they’re located in China and they ship crazy fast too. Like I lost my battery keys yesterday replied to me in hours got my confirmation and made them, and they just shipped it out. Like within 1 and a half day it’s acc wild. I wish I did buy from their website tho would have been a lot cheaper lmao. Did u do any mods to it tho or wsp?
Past-Call6005@reddit
Nah I just wanted to get to work at town speed limit lol, going into winter I sold it and got an r6 is may, but how is the Amyet store cheaper isn't it like 1k for the S8 1000w x2
BoughtNCopp@reddit (OP)
Idk tbh. Like you gotta pay for shipping and I think in general it’s a bit more priced without any discounts or promo codes. It might be because they gotta pay Amazon some fees.

una pregunta, la haz sacado en lluvias? obviamente no creo que aguante una inundacion o una tormenta demasiado fuerte, pero la haz llegado a sacar en dias lluviosos? o no es resistente al agua?
BoughtNCopp@reddit (OP)
Yeah I have taken it in the rain. Works complexly fine just would suggest bunching an e-bike seat cover for additional support because you never want to take risks with e-bikes. As for the official rating of the ebike I would not know but if you text me again and respond I will do more research and get back to you on that as I am busy right now. But I have never had a problem with it and has always worked well with me.
Beginning-Pilot-7167@reddit
Estoy planeando comprar está e bike o alguna otra que sea similar a esta, pero siempre me llega esa espinita de que probablemente se descomponga fácilmente con la lluvia
BoughtNCopp@reddit (OP)
From my experience it never had that issue. I am always worried about that too but even then I’ve never had any water damage happen to the e-bikes electrical components.
In fact the worse damage I’ve ever gotten would be the decrease in stopping power because it made my brake pads rust a bit more. But that is common with all e-bikes from my understanding.
But before you buy anything, do you mind telling me:
the max price you would pay for an ebike?
And then a more comfortable price you would pay for an ebike?
As well as list all features you expect an ebike to have such as: - how many miles or kilo meters it should last, - if it should be a moped/long seated ebike capable of carrying two people? - full suspension? - and any extra stuff you want from an ebike?
And then rank the following about which u value most in order from biggest value to the least: 1. Price 2. Speed 3. Range
I have many great recommendations for e-bikes and with more e-bikes coming out as the years go by, I think I could really help you find the best ebike for you if I knew all that information.
Inside-Skill9608@reddit
In just put this bike together, and even on pedal assist 1 with a single motor, the bike speeds up incredibly fast with only a couple cycles. Is there a way to turn the power down? This is my first e-bike and it seems way too intense. I thought id be able to cruise with light pedal assist on the lowest setting, but this thing takes off!
BoughtNCopp@reddit (OP)
Oooh yeah I gotchu lmao. So basically you want to make sure you are on single motor just in case you weren’t in that already. In case anyone doesn’t know, there is a “A” and “B” switch on the bike allowing you to switch from single to dual. B obviously means both motors. Just make sure that you are on A.
Then if you want to lowkey the takeoffs speed, right now I’m in class so I can’t give as much suggestions as I would if I was with my bike, but what I can tell you is that you can altogether lower the max speed.
To do this: 1. Press and hold the upper and lower arrow buttons which you use to change speed levels. 2. This should take you into the e-bike settings menu. Be careful as to not mess with the settings other than the one I suggest. 3. Go to P8 and then use the arrows keys to change the max speed levels. 0 lowers it by a lot, 100 unlocks the bike completely. 4. Keep switching and trying it out as you go to figure out which max speed gives you the least level of take off power. 5. Then to close out of it, press and hold the 2 buttons like in step 1 which should save the settings. - I know this isn’t the best solution as it does lower max speed but this is all I can think of right now. But trust me, over time, you will get used to the bike super quick!
Also for anyone else reading this (I will be making a separate comment on this mostly copied and pasted) holding down the left or right break levels for 10 seconds and then turning the bike on and holding it for another 5 also limits the speed irregardless of the settings. I believe the left level lowers to 15 mph but the other limits it to 28 mph. I wish I knew this 5 months ago (about the right lever, I already knew of the left) when I limited the bike to 28 mph and just assumed that I got it to that point due to bad handling. Luckily I found out when my friend was holding down that lever before we turned on that bike and I saw him doing it but chose not to tell him to stop which is the only reason I can go back to 35 mph.
If u got more questions, lmk, if it snaked repairs or anything like that or even upgrades! But I will come back later today and atleast let yk if I have more solutions or none. Sorry couldn’t be more help as of now 😭😭
Inside-Skill9608@reddit
Thank you so much. I took off the power assist to the pedals which is fine for what I’m using it for.
BoughtNCopp@reddit (OP)
Of course and let me know if you got any more questions (applies to anyone else who might be getting this bike and needs help lol) 😁
