Νever seen this fish before in Greece. Any ideas about what it is ? It was green with dark lines all over it

If not mistaken, this is a juvenile goldblotch grouper, Epinephelus costae, here's an example. They're pretty common but they're heavily overfished so very few become full grown adults :/.

Looks much more like a Grouper species to me - they don’t all get massive, can’t quite find the species online but in Malta they’re often called “Golden Groupers” but could also be known as “Mottled Groupers”

It looks like either a young rainbow wrasse (Coris Julis) or ocellated wrasse(Symphodus Ocellatus).
