Visa solutions trucking?

I'm looking into immigrating to the US and I've stumbled across a company named Visa Solutions and its trucking subsidiary. Basically, the way it supposedly works is that you send them your resume and then they contact as many US companies until they find someone willing to sponsor you. Honestly, as much as I am personally interested in trucking, this all seems a bit too good to be true: as far as I know, there aren't widespread trucker shortages in the US, so I question why a US company would bother to sponsor a foreign trucker. Still, I've heard a handful of success stories of people who moved to the US thanks to that company, so maybe I'm wrong.

There is no driver shortage in the US. The only people who claim there is are the ATA: the industry group comprised of various fatcat owners. That said, the current administration seems to be cracking down on foreign drivers. Your English is clearly very good so that wouldn't be a problem. Thing is there are rumblings that non-domiciled CDLs are going to be cancelled wholesale soon, which might put you in a pickle. Immigration is a huge hit button issue in America right now. Much as I love to recommend trucking as a way up/out for people coming here to drive as a non-citizen right now seems pretty risky. Just my $0.02-worth.

They got lucky signing up in an era where foreign drivers weren't getting kicked out of their jobs because they can't understand instructions in English or aren't US citizens. OTR happens nationwide so rural vs urban doesn't really enter into it unless you're in a local gig and those aren't easy to come by, well-paying as they typically are.

Got me. I'm a native-born American. The take-away here should be that it's a particularly risky time to be a non-citizen driver in the USA.

It's a bad gamble at the moment. The current administration is very aggressively posturing against immigration and you could end up losing your visa at the stroke of a pen. The English enforcement was only the first part of this

Sorry for late reply. I checked the Youtube channel of a trucker from the UK who moved to the US through that company, and it seems like he ended up in a decent company.

Basically, what you're saying is that they may be a legit company, but they might be in contact with crappy companies that don't treat their drivers very well?
