Those are small anemones, they don't like being out of the water and close up into these little lumps

yeah i can see the tunicate ID, but they look more lobed like anemone to me, hard to say when out of the water like this and its just a wet lump

Yep! I’m leaning towards anemone too because I don’t see any defined siphons (and because I have aggregating anemone from WA who look very similar when dry) but could be either.

When I touched them, they didn’t retract or move like an anemone normally would. They also seemed to be tough almost like a hard gummy. Could this still just be a weird anemone? No hate just trying to learn
