Video shows federal agents blast their way into Huntington Park home

So. FYI, this is CBP going into a citizen's home. Not an immigration issue at all.
This was about traffic. Traffic.
Agitated-Smell1483@reddit
How many people in this sub voted for this ?
Oddveig37@reddit
They knew he wasn't even home.
This was a show to threaten families of those they are targeting.
hhh888hhhh@reddit
If this isn’t government waste and abuse, I don’t know what is.
xShooK@reddit
Little bit over the top on militarization too.
i-can-sleep-for-days@reddit
Dude night vision googles for day time raid. What the fuck?
Carnifex72@reddit
How else are you gonna know how cool they are? /s
LanceOnRoids@reddit
“Little bit”
Salute-Major-Echidna@reddit
They probably justified by saying "the dogs needed a run out" meaning the military
cyanescens_burn@reddit
It was money well spent if it was meant to go viral and make people afraid of this regime.
randomresearch1971@reddit
This brand of terror doesn’t need special effects. I can’t help but think that these raids are producing future home grown terrorism. Hey, whatever happened to all those people (including children) from Trump’s last term that were put in “detainment camp”? They were in there for years, no rights, stuck behind chain link fence and armed guards? Deaths started happening, then the news stopped covering what happened to them.
CaptOblivious@reddit
It's a fascist display of power is what it is.
Junior_Mood_9425@reddit
Good thing all those 2A people are finally making use of it. Right?
glitterandnails@reddit
Quite simply terrorism.
SlowNsteady4us@reddit
Probably because they weren’t even at the right house
Gonna_do_this_again@reddit
They were, it was retaliation
SlowNsteady4us@reddit
Well hopefully we start laying it down
GrammarGhandi23@reddit
There's gonna be a new word for Nazi coming soon and it will fill the future history with this absolutely inhuman treatment of people.
Carthonn@reddit
And to threaten those that try to stand up to ICE and defend their neighbors.
Plantasaurus@reddit
The man they were after wasn’t even standing against ICE, he accidentally rear ended their unmarked vehicle in the previous week. They let him leave the scene after establishing it was an accident. This is all 100% bullshit on their end.
Carthonn@reddit
Wow. I thought this was related to that other video I saw this week. My mistake
PersiusAlloy@reddit
Fuck it, we ball. I guess my wife is going to suddenly find flower pots around the front door of our home 🤣
Chused@reddit
Let me get this straight... BOARDER PATROL...Came to a citizen's home, breached the door with explosive, broke windows, did not identify themselves first, may or may not have had a warrant, for a fender bender???? They came to follow up on a fender bender... like this?? In what way is that even close to protocol?? Isn't this against the 4th amendment?
Sunandsipcups@reddit
Say he was there. These guys need 20 militarized agents, a freaking tank thing in the street, explosives? For a mom and babies? Hey DOGE, I found your waste and abuse. Sigh.
whosudady@reddit
The guy they were hunting is a cartel Member.
KptKreampie@reddit
This must be stopped before it is normalized! And people we are well into the normalization phase!
whosudady@reddit
The guy they are looking for is a CARTEL member. I live near it and we all know that house.
crockett05@reddit
That is terrorism and nothing less.. There is zero reason why you shouldn't defend yourself after this..
ARazorbacks@reddit
She came out with a toddler in her arms after they breached. They’re not going after young, single guys who might fight back. They’re going after families with young kids because they’re soft targets.
Ieatclowns@reddit
Why haven’t the young men formed an Anti Ice militia of their own? With a hotline and they run out and fight these motherfuckers as they’re on the job? All they need to do is dress the same as ICE to cause confusion.
Old_Fossil_MKE@reddit
Becsuse that level of resistance would quickly escalate into a Branch Dividian situation. Tanks and all.
Ieatclowns@reddit
Well we all know what happens when nobody does anything. History tells us that.
Old_Fossil_MKE@reddit
And what recent history is telling us is we're headed for a storm, and we all seriously need to be prepared for it.
Bortman94@reddit
It’s so obvious right? Like we know there are actual criminals and gang members who are “illegal”, but we don’t see ICE going into the hood or the streets run by Eastern/European mafia. Bc they know they’d get heat and loooots of it.
PM_ME_YOUR_QUEST_PLZ@reddit
Actual cowards, if they did their job correctly people might actually give them credit. I 100% agree we are seeing arrests in nice neighborhoods, shopping centers, restaurants and job sites. Fucking disgrace I don’t know what it is you give people a little power and they can’t wait to fucking beat people’s asses and throw them in cuffs.
Trifang420@reddit
They have been saying there a twenty million illegal immigrants in the US for years. Truth is it's nowhere near that and they are scrambling to get their catch numbers up

Dzjeek@reddit
I'd like to see those cowards go into the hood with all their fancy equipment. But like you said, they wouldn't return.
Ello_Owu@reddit
That, and there's not nearly enough to make a huge media blitz out of, certainly not the numbers trump wants. So he instructed ice to just go after anyone and everyone who even looks like an immigrant.
-rwsr-xr-x@reddit
They're pushing the envelope to see how much The People will tolerate before they've had enough, and rise up and put a stop to this.
Pepsi_Popcorn_n_Dots@reddit
How else is Trump going to get his excuse to implement the Insurrection Act and arrest all Democrats?
Er3bus13@reddit
They can try.
pademelonfarts@reddit
lol the guy who they were going for wasn’t even home, these agents are fuckin retards
jellyrollo@reddit
Not to mention that everyone who lived in that house was a citizen.
Chuhaimaster@reddit
They are rapidly losing whatever legitimacy they have.
Bortman94@reddit
In all honesty I agree w you and think this is pretty extreme, but even if it’s mom and 2 kids, dad isn’t home or maybe he was, does she run and grab an ar? Shotgun? Vest w chest plates? What’s a civilian doing when what, 7-8 kitted out feds/ice/whatever come to your door in military tact gear? Even if she did have a weapon to defend herself more than likely she’s dead, as are the kids if they catch a stray, then the media turns it into “she was a violent gang member” or whatever and it “justifies” this insane situation. And if you comply you can end up like those locked away or like the people who died in ICE custody recently.
voiderest@reddit
If mask dudes without badges and mixed kit are breaching people's home one of someone will eventually think it's a home invasion and respond with force. It has happened with uniformed police more than once.
Nothing about resisting ICE or Cops just them creating dangerous situations where regular people respond.

Oh for sure I agree. It’s only a matter of time before a rag tag group of fed botch it up (prop this one or another soon enough) and they catch one or someone innocent is caught on cam catching one. Clearly if I see this rolling up my driveway I ain’t going out hands cuffed.

I mean full on war vs isolated incidents like we’re seeing are two different things. Point being is we’re on the tipping point of these two things.
Missing-Zealot@reddit
This isn't isolated
Bortman94@reddit
Generally speaking it is. We see one group of people being targeted and terrorized, not everyone, and I’m not trying to diminish the severity of this situation or say that this isn’t really fucking bad but how are we prepping for this? You’re not standing toe to toe with these guys w zero notice unless you sleep in Kevlar with loaded guns in your bed and even then, you’re not Jon wick. We have to start thinking communal and keeping this shit out of our towns and cities.

Waco 2.0
Kindly-Guidance714@reddit
Wacos a bad example Ruby Ridge is much better even though I didn’t like the family views they didn’t deserved to be snipped out of their home.
Bortman94@reddit
Err no. Waco had guns and lots of them. This is a civilian in her home. ICE isn’t putting themselves in danger that’s why they go for women and kids.
PreparationBrave7710@reddit
Was more referring to gov just doin what they please and invading ppls homes
EjaculatingAracnids@reddit
At least in that scenario the branch dividians were actually enaging in massive amounts of arms trafficking and child molestation, you know, ...actual crimes people should care about.
PreparationBrave7710@reddit
Was there any proof of that except for the one family that says they were
WaltzIntrepid5110@reddit
Yeah there's the fucking videos made by David Koresh himself, where he and his underage wives talk about how wonderful he is and they don't need to be protected from anyone.
saltyoursalad@reddit
Um wouldn’t they know best?
EjaculatingAracnids@reddit
One family isnt enough proof that guy confirmed months prior to the raid to have multiple wives of underage girls molested children? Whether or that happened during the raid and was exaggerated by the police to escalate things is irrelevant. Even if he was a wierdo child rapist with a small arsenal, you dont burn him alive and lie about it, you perp walk him into a court house.
PreparationBrave7710@reddit
And to my knowledge the whole thing started cus they were accused of making explosive and machine guns not cus the alleged molestation and whatnot
EjaculatingAracnids@reddit
Yeah sounds like grounds for arrest to me and im not suprised police wouldnt prioritiize child "marriage" over weapons violations.
PreparationBrave7710@reddit
They didn't give 2 fucks bout them kids hell they burnt em to death
EjaculatingAracnids@reddit
Neither did the guy who molested them and didnt let them leave the compound. Koresch basically used kids as a human shield.
No-Resort6955@reddit
Nope
cyanescens_burn@reddit
The irony is there’s a line from Waco to where we are. Waco freaked out a lot of people, especially on the right. It led to distrust of the federal government and OKC federal building being attacked. Lots of far right militias started getting organized, which led to the feds keeping an eye on hardcore preppers, all of this of course adding fuel to the mount for a smaller federal gov and more states rights.
We got trump because of people wanting an outsider to break the federal gov, and that’s what we are getting. There’s a bunch of other elements thrown in there, like power grabs and money grabs by oligarchs.
I don’t think the end result is going to be the “small federal gov” those folks had hoped for though. At least not for the masses. Usually in these situations the in group ends up being somewhat above the law, and the out groups end up having the law abused to keep a boot on their neck. And who is in the out group usually expands, and starts to include people that thought they were in the in group.
RogueVert@reddit
"saving the kids even harder"
and we all remember the tanks
CaptOblivious@reddit
This was state terrorism. Period.
What ever person "in authority: that gave those thugs explosives needs to be fired and brought up on terrorism charges as do all the "officers" that participated in that "raid".
ProfDoomDoom@reddit
I can’t believe we’re here again but Ruby Ridge and Waco are two examples to reference. Hopefully there are better options than those.

War means armed conflict between two groups, there is no armed conflict between two groups, there’s one side with all the guns people and training exerting their will on everyone else, that’s just government.
New_Vast_4505@reddit
The North won the 1st civil war, they will win the 2nd if it happens too.

The North was the official govt at that point, they were the break away faction. Today, they are the official govt..
We can't even get Blue state governors to all band together to say if you attack one state you attack all.. Who is this mysterious group that will fight back?
New_Vast_4505@reddit
Politicians didn't fight in the civil war, citizens defending their democracy and country did. No one expects the DNC to do anything.

crockett05@reddit
It doesn't matter.. No one is going to rise up and stop them other than a few random people fighting back here or there. It's fast becoming apparent that people in this country are no longer willing to fight for their rights or their liberty.
All you have to do is go to any of these 50501 protests and it's mostly people 30 or over.. Young people are not showing up in mass, it's mostly the older generations..
CaptOblivious@reddit
Ya, peaceful protest is the first stage.
crockett05@reddit
Oh yeah so what is the Red line that once crossed will cause people to start actually fighting back?
CaptOblivious@reddit
I expected the NRA/2A crowd to start once masked thugs started snatching people off the streets.
Turns out they are the fascists they told us us to worry about.
agent_mick@reddit
I guess we'll know it when we see it.
crockett05@reddit
I seem to remember reading that that's the same thing people in Germany said as well. They kept asking why no one was doing anting.. Waiting for others to stand up so they could, but no one did.
agent_mick@reddit
It'll be a hard shift from the current level of protesting to what is probably going to be needed to set the country to rights. It sucks, but I understand why it takes a while to get there.
We are waiting for others to stand up. No one wants to go alone. Are you fighting back? Where's your red line? Because you're also waiting.
I'm not saying waiting is a bad thing. It's the reality. No one wants to be the first over the finish line. I just think glass houses and stone throwing, you know?
fixxer_s@reddit
You expect people who are constantly belittled, told they don't matter by Dems, and have to work multiple jobs to go to an astroturfed protest march?
Get a grip. Any younger people who want to fight back are doing so in a non virtue signalling way. The rest voted for this.
MiniTab@reddit
People in their 30s and 40s have kids and work too. Most have way more responsibilities than someone in their 20s. Although I have seen A LOT of women in their 20s at the protests. Just not their male peers.
Certainly not all young men are this apathetic, and it’s great when I do see them at the protests. But there is an alarming lack of them.

I'm a locksmith and have repaired/secured multiple doors and doorframes after law enforcement or the fire department knock them down -- at least in my experience, the home owner is on the hook for repair costs.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's some path for reimbursement, but I bet it involves a lot of hold music, robot voices, forms, and time

AntiSonOfBitchamajig@reddit
Gadsden intended his flag to serve as a physical symbol of the American Revolution's ideals. The flag has been described as the "most popular symbol of the American Revolution". Its design proclaims an assertive warning of vigilance and willingness to act in defense against coercion.
It's meaning is literally against authoritarianism.

Following the January 6th insurrection, concerns about right-wing extremist violence have increased in the United States. Research and data from organizations like the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) indicate that right-wing extremists are the most likely perpetrators of extremist-related murders in the US. Key Findings:

Overall Trends:
I-CrackMyselfUp@reddit
If the events happened as they stated to the press after the breach of the home, “Jorge Sierra-Hernandez was arrested because he rammed his car into a CBP vehicle, causing significant damage and obstructed the work of our agents and officers during course of a law enforcement operation. During this incident, agents were assaulted, and additional rioters threw rocks and other objects at our personnel.” 1) If he rammed their vehicle and obstructed the work of the agents there is zero chance they don’t immediately arrest him at the scene. 2)”Agents were assaulted and additional rioters threw rocks”, insinuating somehow this man did all of this. If you follow the words, there’s nothing that says who exactly assaulted them and does not specifically state the man they were seeking was a rioter. Conclusion: Customs and Border Patrol need to find a more believable and intelligent spokesperson to explain away the meathead, bully brigades terrorizing American citizens. I’m not talking at all about people here illegally no matter the length of time or contribution to their communities. This doesn’t look like protect and serve to me. It looks like the militarization of law enforcement with little to no checks and balances.

Seriously. We’re always armed.
Our response to many of the situations we’re now seeing on a daily basis would absolutely be to defend ourselves. As we are trained to do. As we have the constitutional and legal right to do.
We are, arguably, morally obligated to defend ourselves and other innocent citizens.

You’re unfortunately correct. Most people just haven’t realized it yet.

I mean, these guys came in stacked up with some fucking hardware.
Aside from boobie trapping your yard with things you learned from a cookbook in the nineties, what realistic approach do you have to prepare for something like this?
gurilagarden@reddit
When you wash away the fantasies and mental masturbation, the hard truth is there isn't a damn thing you can do that won't get you and everyone else inside that structure killed. You in any way cause bodily harm to those officers, they will do everything up to and including burning the place to the ground. Just like Koresh, just like Christopher Dorner, and they'd have or manufacture whatever legal justification they need, after the fact. The State has a monopoly on the use of violence to enforce it's will. This was true in Sumaria, and it will be true tomorrow.
throwAwayWd73@reddit
You bring up very valid points.
Especially considering the amount of civilians that got shot at by the police during the dorner thing when he was only a threat to the police and some of their family members.

Thats... a bit extreme for a traffic issue.
justwolt@reddit
The article says he rammed an ICE vehicle with people inside and fled the scene, am I missing something? That's a little more than a "traffic issue".
StormsOfMordor@reddit
Here’s a video of the accident. It looks like his Jeep is stuck to the truck, and an agent is (I’m assuming) getting his info from the driver side window.
Now, if this was an arrest-able crime that would call for a squad of military-looking personnel using breaching charges on a residential home, then why the fuck wasn’t he ripped out of the Jeep and arrested at the accident?
Cody0290@reddit
Jeep bumpers have tow hooks on the top, looks like the right height differential between the jeep and the truck that I'd bet the truck's bumper got stuck on those.
dingalingdongdong@reddit
The article does not say that. Did you just assume no one else would read it because you didn't? The literal only thing it says about them leaving the scene was her assertion that "Federal agents said they were free to go after the crash", which may have been accidental.
Pdxmtg@reddit
Did you read the fucking article you absolute ignoramus? Please share the quote where it says he fled. They were told they were free to go. If you cite an article, read it first.

What is their authority to execute an arrest against a citizen? In a lawful country this would've been referred to the police.
Pappa_Crim@reddit

Says it was related to an accident where her boyfriend ran into the back of federal agents, I wouldn’t really call that traffic related. But have a feeling it has more to do with that, as they are asking for him to turn himself in and they came with this sort of force. Maybe a hit and run?
But if this scares you, just remember police used a bomb robot a few years ago to kill someone.
CrazyFrogSwinginDong@reddit
The article says it was not a hit and run. The article says the blue civilian looking truck in front of the victim hard braked very suddenly, causing the victim to rear end the blue truck. That’s when ICE officers jumped out of the blue truck and tried to apprehend the boyfriend (the driver). They didn’t end up taking him but this is them getting their revenge.
bikumz@reddit
Article says he is being arrested for the act of ramming them. Yeah not hit and run that’s why I said doubt it. You can’t take one part of the article as gospel and other parts as just “revenge”. They explained their justification for arrest, not revenge.
Mortem001@reddit
Not revenge, so why do they need to blow up the door? If it's just an arrest for that they can knock
bikumz@reddit
Don’t think you got the point of my comment. Person I replied to took one part of article as gospel and not another. Doesn’t make sense, source is either info or not.
CrazyFrogSwinginDong@reddit
Wait, what’s the justification for arrest? I must’ve missed that part in the article somehow

It’s towards the bottom for the statement provided by CBP.

StormsOfMordor@reddit
It looks like they’re talking to him and I’m assuming getting his info. If it was truly an arrest-able crime that would call for a squad of LARPers using breaching charges on a residential home, then why the fuck didn’t they arrest him in the first place?
CrazyFrogSwinginDong@reddit
Exactly. Because they’re fucking liars, and if we don’t videotape every thing they do they’re going to keep fucking lying and people are going to believe it, as evidenced in this thread.
Mr_E_Monkey@reddit
Yup. Pretty sure I saw the brake lights on the Jeep. Absolutely does not look like a "deliberate ramming."
rvri3@reddit
If he truly rammed them as they’re claiming, why not arrest him on the spot? Either he rammed them with sufficient force to warrant arrest, if that’s the case, by all means arrest him, but there on the spot. Why do they need to show up at his house a week later and use charges to breach his house like it’s some kind of war zone?
bikumz@reddit
This has been covered over and over in this thread.
Child_of_Khorne@reddit
To be fair, that guy killed five cops and wounded seven. Not exactly disproportionate, unlike this case.
854490@reddit
He was also holed up in an alcove at the end of a crooked hallway: https://interactives.dallasnews.com/2018/standoff/images/_el_centro__main_650.gif
bikumz@reddit
If they see it as an actual attack on the officers, you could say it’s not disproportionate use of force either. All about context. I just don’t like ANY case of military equipment being used on US civilians.
Child_of_Khorne@reddit
There's nuance here. One killed people and presented a pretty obvious threat. One did not.
bikumz@reddit
Not really. If they feel that the accident was intentional that’s multiple accounts of assault on peace officer, damage to government property, and possibly attempted manslaughter. So that would make it okay right to use explosives to breach a house right? No, it doesn’t. Keep this shit out of the hands of cops.
Child_of_Khorne@reddit
That isn't what I said.
Learn to read, dude.
crockett05@reddit
did you even read the article.. It says it was a crash and they said he was free to go after the reports were done..
Federal agents said they were free to go after the crash, Ramirez said, adding that he plans to turn himself in.
bikumz@reddit
Did YOU even read the article… you know like scroll down a bit past where you quoted?
“In a statement Friday afternoon, a Customs and Border Protection spokesman said, “Jorge Sierra-Hernandez was arrested because he rammed his car into a CBP vehicle, causing significant damage and obstructed the work of our agents and officers during course of a law enforcement operation. During this incident, agents were assaulted, and additional rioters threw rocks and other objects at our personnel. Anyone who actively obstructs or assaults law enforcement, including U.S. citizens, will face consequences which include arrest.””
You do realize you can be arrested for a crime you commit at a later date, correct? And that if you aren’t arrested at that second you aren’t automatically forever innocent? Pretty safe to say they probably just had bigger fish to fry and would address it at a later date. This is that later date. Handled it like idiots but what can you expect via the federal agents.
crockett05@reddit
If he "rammed" them he wouldn't have been free to go.. Use your brain dude, this is obviously the CBP making up shit after the fact..
In zero world would have have been "free to go" if he had purposely rammed his jeep into them..
This is a case of someone after the fact getting mad and abusing the law..
bikumz@reddit
I mean, ramming is just roughing forcing something into place. Are you arguing that running into the back of a truck with another vehicle isn’t ramming? You’re using rammed in quotes so I feel like you are saying he didn’t ram them. Ram doesn’t mean intent, it’s just a verb. As someone who worked in insurance, rammed is used all the time.
In a world where people are getting pelted with shit from the street of course officers are going to say “yeah get the fuck out of there we are gonna do the same”. The guys in the truck could probably care less, it’s probably someone higher up who is taking it as intentional. People in truck saying free to go vs higher up agents deeming it as on purpose.
crockett05@reddit
I'm arguing that it was obviously an accident, and they also felt that way at the scene other wise they wouldn't have let him go.
bikumz@reddit
As mentioned earlier, bigger fish to fry and more evidence could have come to light. Evidence could have been as much as person bragging they got away with it, dash cam footage, officer involved body cam footage, whatever. I’m really not sure how you understand policing works if you think after one initial interview if you are not charged you are absolutely innocent of that crime.
I am not saying force that was use is needed, I’m just saying that letting someone go initially doesn’t make them innocent.
crockett05@reddit
None of those excuses in a non police state would go to the 1st responce being to use explosives on someone home to enter it just to arrest him..
You're just making up excuses at this point..
bikumz@reddit
There’s no excuses. It’s evidence. Evidence that would lead to the possible crime of assault on a peace officer, attempted manslaughter of a peace officer, damage to government equipment, interfering with official police work, ect. I’m not saying it exists. I am simply adding what could be context to this.
Girafferage@reddit
I'll preface this with "I love you, youre beautiful", but you sure seem to be licking a lot of power over-reach authoritarian boot for somebody who keeps essentially saying "who knows what happened"
bikumz@reddit
Lolol, saying I don’t know why the arrest happened and giving theories, and saying police shouldn’t have any military equipment, is boot licking? Thats your definition of boot licking?
Girafferage@reddit
Nah the other part is boot licking, mate. also you clearly missed the "I love you" part. shame.
bikumz@reddit
It’s not boot licking to speculate why things happened the way they are. To blindly hate is sad shit.
Girafferage@reddit
I already said I love you once, you aren't getting it again!
And its not hating, its condemning. and its not blind, because I have eyes and can see what happened lol
robotcoke@reddit
Not the guy you were responding to but....
So you think they went to a judge and got a no knock warrant for a traffic accident that happened a week ago? And with that being the case, wouldn't it be local law enforcement who handled it?
I didn't see any country sheriffs or city police in that video.
I'm incredibly skeptical that a judge would issue a no knock warrant for a traffic accident. Especially one that happened a week ago, with no serious injuries, wasn't a hit and run, and the same agency had already told him he was free to go.
If he was being charged, the judge would have sent him an order to appear. If an arrest warrant was issued it would have probably been mailed to him. If they wanted to serve it in person, it would have probably been one detective, wearing dockers and a golf shirt, going to his house. If they really wanted to go all out, it would have been a bunch of county sheriffs or local police.
Brilliant-Donut5619@reddit
And you will focus on the optics of it instead of what is overarchingly wrong with this whole thing. Border patrol use breaching charges on American citizens homes for a traffic offense, with zero presented evidence nor a warrant. The excessive use of force alone is fubar.
bikumz@reddit
I’ve literally mentioned in other comments that this shit should not be in police hands.
Ok-Calligrapher7577@reddit
This was my read… that he’d taken part of a group action and, in the fray, agents opted to release him having confirmed his identity. It’s one thing if he accidentally hit their vehicle and another if he offensively used his vehicle against them. Maybe there is unreleased video evidence. My guess is CBP BORTAC was allowed to conduct the raid as a matter pride, honor, etc. while local authorities provided plain clothed officers. This would also not tax the local jurisdictions armor and SWAT units. Maybe more will be shared.
SeaWeedSkis@reddit
I also wouldn't be surprised if they decided to pursue prosecution based on video footage that they didn't immediately access but later reviewed. An "oops, my bad, didn't mean to rearend you" that's believable in the moment but is an obvious lie when seen on video is the sort of thing I can see being a possibility. If video shows he was accelerating, not braking, for example, it would prove his story is a lie. All speculation on my part, so hopefully there will be a proper investigation and so on to prove what happened.
I feel bad for them, and think the SWAT approach was a bit excessive, but at the same time it very much sounds like Jorge engaged in protest activity and this is the heat he drew down on his household. Actions have consequences. Don't engage in this type of protest activity if you aren't prepared for law enforcement responses like this.
All that being said: I would like a law that says the police must reimburse for repair charges related to this kind of explosive entry if there is no conviction. Being able to massively damage someone's home this way for something that might not even result in charges has the potential to be problematic.
Ok-Calligrapher7577@reddit
In the words of my senior drill instructor, “If you don’t want to be compromised, don’t put yourself into a compromising position.”
bikumz@reddit
No one wants to stand around and get pelted by debris while filling out an accident report.
Ok-Calligrapher7577@reddit
Yeah, I’m not defending the heavy hand, just giving my theory of events. It may have been counterproductive to their goals to arrest him at the time…that’s all.
bikumz@reddit
That’s my thought was well. The argument that “they said he was free to go why are they arresting him now” means literally 0.
Rip_the_skin@reddit
Maybe they’re lying. I find it hard to believe they wouldn’t have arrested him on the spot if he was obstructing. The rainbow six siege bullshit seems retaliatory to me.
Dull-Hornet-2596@reddit
At the time of the accident though they told him he was free to go.
bikumz@reddit
I agree it’s very strange. Their explanation in the article doesn’t make sense, and either it’s a bogus arrest or there isn’t evidence we peasants are allowed to see.
DocRichDaElder@reddit (OP)
But letting them go.... Then coming back with this force.
bikumz@reddit
It doesn’t make sense for them to spend this kinda money on this without some sort of reasoning, especially after all the money they just spent. But then again, what reasoning did they use to start with.
Girafferage@reddit
They do not care at all if they spend a lot of money doing this stuff if it gets petty revenge or they think its funny. The money they get they have to spend all of or they get a reduction because they clearly "didnt need such a high allocation". Its why the police in my city have multiple armored personnel carriers and a freaking UAV
rvaducks@reddit
That's not how this works. Money for salaries, guns, etc. has already been allocated. Maybe it these then away from other duties but maybe they were bored or they think this level of force is important.
RussiaIsBestGreen@reddit
The money is allocated, but it’s still diverting time and resources from other activities, so either something else is left undone or they have to get more to do the next thing. Meanwhile actual criminals are carrying on just fine because they don’t show up to get ambushed at immigration hearings.
bikumz@reddit
Allocated for the riots and and ICE raids, CBP is not ICE.
rvaducks@reddit
Of course it's already allocated. Those agents get a salary whether they are sitting in an office or terrorizing American citizens.

They certainly had that infant outgunned. I would sue these fucks into the stone age at a minimum.
greygoose71@reddit
As I understand this it was not a hit and run. Even if it was no body was injured. No police department would spend that amount of resources for a fender bender. This was a waste of money and a dumb move.
bikumz@reddit
Yeah that was just my only thought that could come to explain force. Like I said either it’s a bogus arrest or there is evidence that is too good for our eyes that’ll only be released once another riot starts.
OpportunityMaximum76@reddit
This is unbelievable to me. I’m a former intelligence community counterterrorism officer and witnessing these types of operations on American soil is absolutely a form of state terror. I no longer live in the U.S. but I’m curious to see how long people take this. I absolutely understand that this is a probing effort by the Trump regime, but the United States is the most heavily armed population on earth. I don’t see how this ends well.
Also, as a side note, it’s incredibly revealing that these guys aren’t pro’s. Rolling up with NOD’s on a morning raid in suburban America? LARPing gear queer bullshit. This makes me so fucking mad.
SplakyD@reddit
Why the fuck didn't they detain him at the scene of crashing the Jeep? If he was really trying to assault federal agents and disrupted their operations then there was more than sufficient probable cause to arrest the guy at the scene.
