I’ve got the mark 3 target pistol and it’s far and away my favorite gun. They work, are durable, and shoot almost all 22 ammo…which is a huge plus for a semi auto 22. Never adjusted the sights and can hit steel at 75yds with them. $150 for everything is a steal!

Dude, you win. Those things are solid. The club I run has six of them we use to train people new to guns. These things can take a ridiculous amount of abuse/neglect and they just run. Just keep it oiled and the action clean and you'll be good to go.

One quick thing to note, something I have noticed from extended amounts of wear: the slit in the magazine does have a sharp edge to it after being used a few thousand times. Be sure to file that down if it ever becomes a problem, we've had a handful of people unintentionally slice a finger on it since our magazines are old.

That appears to be the Mark IV Target. If so, that is an incredible steal.

One thing, depending upon how old it is it may have been under a recall. I can't see if the safety shows a large white dot with an "S" inside. If so, the recall has been applied. If not and if you have a serial numbers starting with "401" or "WBR" then it needs to go back.

More than likely it's been fixed, as Ruger threw in an extra magazine when they returned your pistol, and you are getting 3.

You can mount a red dot if you wish: there tapped holes that accept an adapter if that is what you want to do.

These are so cool looking, but the one time I used one it left a bad impression.

It looked identical to yours, but red and chromed out. It was basically new, but it would failure to eject every 5 rounds or so. No matter which ammo we used it just kept jamming up.

I wanted one until that day, but hopefully yours is gtg! Nice find!

I work at a gun shop, my boss approved ideal that we were moving forward with for a guy who was selling five guns, and I asked him if I could just buy the Mark IV off of the guy and take it out of the deal, but instead we did the package deal and then my boss sold it to me at cost
