Help me decide if 16gb ram is worth it.

So, I have my laptop - Asus tuf A15, Ryzen 7 4800H, 4gb RTX 3050 graphics with integrated radeon graphics, 8gb ddr4 3200mhz single rank ram, etc. I bought it in 2022. Model - FA
I've been able to play most of games I wanted in these three years and recently I was trying to load 'The last of us 1' and unfortunately it didn't work. Surprisingly I've been able to play even those games with minimum 16gb ram requirement but wasn't able to run just this game. Also, new cod games aren't working that great either in my pc.
So, I was wondering if I should get ram upgrade. My laptop has another slot for ram and if I load another 8gb ram it will support dual acceleration too.
So, please advice if I should get the 8gb ram upgrade now. From what I understand, I can't upgrade graphics and processor as it is soldered. So, heavy games which require graphics too with ram won't work with 32 gm laptop either. So, I might use this laptop for 3-4 years more and then will buy another with heavy specs. So, I don't think I should get two 16gb ram sticks either.
So, is the 8gb ram upgrade will be worth for next 3-4 years? How exactly other performances of the PC will change other than games? I only play games and watch movies and shows though. Might tinker with dual os or virtual machine if I get the ram upgrade.

Filling the second ram slot with same exact ddr4 ram is very much worth it. Not only your fps in most games will increase, but also your whole system will speed up with 16gb ram. Having multiple tabs open on browser is very ram hungry, you can also play games without having to close all the other apps. It is definitely worth the upgrade.

The games I have been playing like Doom, Days gone , etc work really well, I get no issues no lag.

16gb nowadays is the bare minimum most people should have for gaming nowadays. The most important part of upgrading ram is that you should try to match the specs of your current ram stick. If its 8gb 3200mhz then you should try to get another stick that is 8gb 3200mhz

Okay thanks for the response.
