Least upsetting thing that happened all day. Get over it.

Just sharing I was over it the second I passed him. It also feels like at worse irl. Video makes it like nothing happened

What do you gain for NOT letting him in?
Own-Statistician6774@reddit
Absolutely.

I don't see a problem here. No accident, you went around, he got what he wanted, which was to go around the slower truck in front of him, you got what you wanted, which was to not lose your momentum, so it worked out. I am sure the guy understood that. I am sure you merged back in front of him safely. Maybe just switch lanes a little faster next time to give the guy more breathing room. In this situation, kindness goes a long way.
joecee97@reddit
With the speed you were going at, you were gaining on the truck in front of you. What was the plan?
Robjla@reddit (OP)
It’s hard to tell but that’s a hill and I’m like 78000 pounds. Yes im catching up to that guy, the plan is what it always is hope he moves over or I go around on the right if I can. Saw his blinker but I would have lost all momentum and ended up in the right lane struggling up the hill.
Dead_Namer@reddit
Yes, either flash to let him know it's ok or move lanes. He gave you plenty of notice.
MCryptoWars@reddit
Of you come across this situation again, do the same thing but merge back to the middle lane quick, especially if you know the truck is empty. Have to pay attention on who is loaded and climbing and who’s not. It’s safer to keep the momentum going for everyone. It is a tricky situation because of the No Trucks Left Lane zone, but I’ve done it before a few times in front of a state troopers and it’s a gamble and never been stopped because they saw what was going on and I didn’t cruise on the left lane. But, I made a decision and chose safety first, and hope I do not get pulled over in the future if I come across those type of scenarios again.

for your own safety...yes.

Turn it up some!
Exotic_Blueberry1602@reddit
Looks like you did. Smooth and nothing aggressive. Great driving on your behalf.
VoodooOffRoad@reddit
Yes. You should look further out than your hood and see he’s closing on another truck pretty quickly.
Robjla@reddit (OP)
I do look down the road. I saw him join the highway 40 seconds before. He got on hammer down and expected me to slow down to let him in.
VoodooOffRoad@reddit
Is that area left lane restricted?
post_mah_bone@reddit
He signaled and you sped up creating that problem. It's annoying but that's traffic. Don't want to share the road, get off of it.
Robjla@reddit (OP)
I saw the signal. But I didn’t speed up I was at my governor’s top speed. We all get stuck behind someone just sending it. Signal or not is bad driving. I could have moved over but no trucks on left lane.
bbkg79@reddit
I have my B, so I’m in no trailers. But I lurk on this sub, and I’m obviously on the road. A lot of truck drivers first name has to be Richard. Wow!
