How would stewart's career gone had he not gone bald at an ealry age? would he have been cast as picard? would he have been xavier? Perhaps he would have been just a working actor going murder she wrote and the golden girls ect

He most likely would have remained as Picard. In season 1 of TNG, they actually wanted to have him wear a wig but ultimately decided against it.

Not this old chestnut again…
No. No they didn’t. They asked him to attend the final audition with a hair piece and then decided against using it from the moment they offered him the role. There are no “let’s try a wig” test photos or videos. This is a behind-the-scenes photo from the 5th season episode “Violations”, which features a flashback of sorts to a much younger Picard in command of the Stargazer. The medical patch on his right temple is clearly visible.

But I thought he was already bald in his Academy days, and looked like Tom Hardy.

It’s that old chestnut again, this time poorly colorized by AI. The internet is so wonderful.

I think he could have still gotten Star Trek, but I doubt he would ever be considered for Xavier.

I often wonder how different my life would be if I didn’t have a receding hairline. I’d probably be a movie star 😩

They toyed with putting a toupe on him and there are pics if you search... then they decided he carried it better au natural

So far we've had a couple of mentions of I, Claudius, and Dune. I am upset we haven't had a chance to talk about EXCALIBUR yet! ARTHUUUUURRR....
Adventurous-Line1014@reddit
He did say in an interview that he forgot his toupee when he first auditioned for Picard

Keep in mind the story of how David Lynch wanted a different Patrick Stewart to play in Dune but it was Picard Stewart’s agent that got the call. Stewart shows up in Mexico City and Lynch is like “Who are you?”

He was in I, Claudius!

He's a British Shakespearean actor, he would have had an excellent career no matter what his hair did- you know they have toupees for actors, right? Check out the classic 13 part series about ancient Rome, I. Claudius, that Stewart was in back in the 1970s, He would have never been on Golden Girls, he would have been doing other high class theater or stage work.

RADA, LAMDA, Juilliard, Yale School of Drama and Tish graduate hundreds of actors and sadly most do end up as "stars". Daniel Davis aka moriarty a fellow Shakespearean actor was niles in the nany and guest spots on the a team MacGyver, golden girls matlock etc

He was already an established actor by then, though not well known to American audiences. Him having hair would have made his audition easier, because Roddenberry didn't have a bald man in mind to play the part.
Scrat-Slartibartfast@reddit
he is a high class actor, on a stage it has to work on the first try, so you must be good to work and stay there.
and I think you still would have gotten the role as Picard.

I bet he’d still have been cast, but they’d have had him shave his head for Professor X.
