I’ve lived in Florida my entire life and vote democrat. I currently live in central Florida and was moving out of state in February for a dream job that was federal which got rescinded because of the hiring freeze. I was so upset when Trump won but was glad I’d be out of Florida for the next hurricane season just to get stuck here. I’ve just accepted a new job offer in the gulf coast so now I’ll be in a worse location than I am now. If this hurricane season is anything like last year AND we lose NOAA tracking and FEMA support it’s going to be absolute hell. It’s technology from the 1960s and 70s they. DSMP sats in particular have a design flaw where they explode every so often so they have been decommissioning them.
