Hopefully they suck off enough Russian cock to make them happy and approve export permits again. Deepthroat that shit, no gag reflex, my mauser needs more food ffs.
WeOwnThe_Night@reddit
This is great news for Turkey. Turkish companies like Canik, Tisas & MKE have been manufacturing solid and inexpensive small arms for the US market. This will definitely increase their market share.
The problem with Serbia is that if they continue this pattern, they risk becoming irrelevant. There are dozens of other companies ready to step in and sell in the U.S.
Maybe we’ll get a Turkish AKM clone soon. 🤞
chrisfly865@reddit
Everything Turkey makes is dogshit
Gloomy-Opportunity-3@reddit
You've never shot a tisas 1911. Or a Girsan. Way better than any other cheap 1911s from anywhere else. And canik ain't the worst. But yeah pretty much everything else is garbage
s_m_c_@reddit
Inexpensive, yes, solid, no.
There's no point, in a world where the WASR exists.
BuildBreakBuild@reddit
Canik isn’t solid?
s_m_c_@reddit
No.
There's no reason to buy anything Turkish when there is always a better option available at every price point, or even cheaper.
Unless you really enjoy rolling the dice on questionable quality guns for no appreciable savings, then by all means, buy Turkish.
Limp_Bizkiteer@reddit
And suddenly I no longer completely regret my decision to buy a Zpap M70 like I did before.
AtomicPhantomBlack@reddit
There goes my source for relatively cheap Garand food...
Feel bad for the Sturmgewehr guys
turbotictac@reddit
S&B is my go to for 30-06 for my Garand
AtomicPhantomBlack@reddit
Huh. Thought theirs was expensive but then I went onto Ammoseek, and it's way cheaper than I thought. Ammo prices are thankfully going down
FALTomJager@reddit
Probably because they occasionally blow up guns
vkbrian@reddit
I don’t think the guys who have Sturmgewehrs are particularly worried about money
ChevTecGroup@reddit
It's not about money. It's that prvi is abojt the only company that does runs of rare ammo, including the 7.92x33 rounds for the sturms.
Other ammo sources are all old stockpiles of ww2 ammo that is becoming more and more non-existant.
Hopefully the Serbian government will eventually change its mind once politely pressure calms down.
AtomicPhantomBlack@reddit
Also, the WW2 stuff is, as far as I'm aware, very corrosive, and if you own an StG, you can clean it, but if it rusts, you're screwed
Quw10@reddit
Yea they are my only source of .30 luger.
Netan_MalDoran@reddit
Not to mention more and more spicy x.x
Riley_Coyote@reddit
ComicallyLargeAfrica@reddit
MY FUCKING .30 MAUSER
SouthernStatement832@reddit
I bought my M77 over an M1A because of the last time they were considering it. Then kicked myself when they didnt. Guess i was just ahead of the curve lol
4514N_DUD3@reddit
Ditto, glad I bought my M77 when I did.
oppressedkekistani@reddit
Shit, no more 8x56r for my M95 then. That really sucks.
bren97122@reddit
Well that’s unfortunate. They’re pretty much the only people on Earth still producing a lot of quirky obsolete military rounds. I wanted to get a Lebel 1886 and Steyr M95 at some point, and was confident I could do so and still be able to shoot them since Prvi makes new production 8mm Lebel and 8x56mm. Guess I won’t be buying and shooting any turn-of-the-century military rifles now.
Gr144@reddit
Serbia has done this before. It will definitely be temporary. The foreign cash their arms industry brings in has got to be substantial.
WhyAmINotStudying@reddit
This is a way for them to increase prices, too. They'll come back and people will be so happy to buy again they won't complain as much.
Gr144@reddit
Yeah very true.
This is also an article from "Guns.com" they want you to run out and buy that Zastava you've been thinking about.
SniperSRSRecon@reddit
You might find some 8x56r brass and bullets for reloading. Unfortunately ppu makes them, so supplies are limited.
AnonymousGlowie@reddit
moves stash of 7.5x55 Swiss soft points for deer hunting into the safe*
hadtobethetacos@reddit
So does that mean my zastava AK is now a collectors item? lol
ExoticGeologist@reddit
For a week, until the National Security Council approves the ZPAP exports to America again.
GaGuRoShoMo@reddit
Trump basically said "time to defend your own stuff yourself, with your own money" a few. months ago, which sent Europe into panic mode, because they've been relying on the US for decades to do all the NATO stuff.
Now, everybody is hastily trying to get their defenses up to a modern standard under the pretense of "the Ruskys are comming". Nevermind that Russia has been struggling, and still does, with just a single country (Ukraine).
AlphaTangoFoxtrt@reddit
This may have made sense for other countries, but Serbia is not a NATO member. Serbia never had the backing of the US or relied on the US. Hell Serbia and the US fought against each other in the 90s.
GaGuRoShoMo@reddit
Not being a NATO member is all the more reason for them to gear up. If push comes to shove, help will go elsewhere first.
AlphaTangoFoxtrt@reddit
Yes, but you made it seem like this is a Trump thing. It's not. Serbia is not a NATO member, they never could count on the US for aid.
GaGuRoShoMo@reddit
Not the US, but parts of Europe itself, be it directly or indirectly (like with Ukraine). Yet Europe is struggling, which may have moved Serbia to better prepare themselves a bit more, just to make sure. I mean, I would too, if I'd see my neighbours' drama along the lines of, "Defend ourselves? And pay for it ourselves? Preposterous!"
JefftheBaptist@reddit
1) Russia is struggling for two reasons. The first being their own inherent corruption. The second being that NATO has sent a significant amount of obsolescent equipment to Ukraine.
2) Why has NATO been able send all this old equipment? Because they've realized that they need to modernize. Russia's performance in the 2014 Ukraine War was fucking scary. Thankfully their performance in the Second Ukraine War has been pretty poor. But if the Russians get their act together after the Second War winds down, Europe really could be in trouble. Among other things, Russia has no choice but to modernize and rearm themselves because they're using up all their old equipment.
M6D_Magnum@reddit
Again?
SumKallMeTIM@reddit
Suggestions - Good cheap alternative for 30-06 for M1 Garand?
TheStig500@reddit
I hope you saved your brass...
smokeyser@reddit
RCBS rock chucker and a little elbow grease.
CFishing@reddit
They already did this last year and nothing even happened.
island_trevor@reddit
Didn't they do this like a year ago and rescind it pretty quickly?
Diligent-Parfait-236@reddit
Yeah, it was about a month, I don't think the market even felt it.
Raeyth420@reddit
Looks like they preparing for war
StrikeEagle784@reddit
Nah, there’s a huge scandal against Vucic and the Serbian government right now. They got caught selling ammo to Ukraine, and Russia (and the Serbian public since they’re generally pro-Russia) got pretty upset with Belgrade and started applying diplomatic pressure to stop ammo exports.
Also, I’m pretty sure Iran got upset with Serbia also since they may have been selling ammo to Israel, but I can’t verify that one.
So yeah, political scandal and diplomatic pressure.
ArsePucker@reddit
Who TF do they think they are supplying both sides? America? 🇺🇸
Just2LetYouKnow@reddit
The Ferengi foreign policy advisor was a dead giveaway something like this would happen.
crash______says@reddit
PlayingDoomOnAGPS@reddit
I wonder why they're so responsive to Russia's pressure... It's not like Russia shows up for their friends or anything.
StrikeEagle784@reddit
That’s because of a very long and mostly positive relationship between Serbs and Russians, Russians see Serbs as a brotherly people, and Serbs see them in much the same light.
I’m sure Serbs would think otherwise if they bordered Russia, being removed from Eastern Europe has its perks if for some reason you choose to be friends with the Kremlin.
Gun_Dork@reddit
So, Tito 2.0.
-E-Cross@reddit
Taking a play out of the Henry Ford book on selling to both sides.

Well thats a double bummer. It was good some of those weapons likely killed russian invaders then

In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces and Chairman of the National Security Council Aleksandar Vučić, the export of weapons and military equipment produced in the Republic of Serbia is suspended.
In the future, for the export of weapons and military equipment produced in defense industry factories, in addition to the consent of other competent ministries and agencies, the consent of the National Security Council will be mandatory in accordance with Article 16, paragraph 4 of the Law on Export and Import of Weapons and Military Equipment.
StrikeEagle784@reddit
From one milsurp guy to another, S&B brass is awesome for reloading. Get into reloading.
SniperSRSRecon@reddit
Except they don’t make the brass for the one major caliber I use. Only ppu does/did.
StrikeEagle784@reddit
Yeah I know how you feel, I don’t think S&B makes 7.5 French and I do shoot that caliber.
akbuilderthrowaway@reddit
So, perhaps this is wishful thinking, but certainly they'll be pretty quick to consent to selling arms and ammo into the us.
EastwoodRavine85@reddit
Yeah, I grabbed an FN49 and still haven't gotten anything non-corrosive, time to get on that shit
TuggsBrohe@reddit
Welp, looks like my 8mm yugo isn't gonna see the range in the foreseeable future.
Ambitious_Example518@reddit (OP)
If you’re cool with milsurp ammo, Ive been shooting Greek ammo without issues and it’s around 50 cpr. Corrosive though so just have to be diligent about cleaning after shooting.
TuggsBrohe@reddit
Guess I'll have to give it a shot, thanks for the recommendation!
Arjorn@reddit
There's a lot of companies who relabel PPU ammo, such as Norma, Monarch (which is Academy Sports) the 5.56 in the green packs is PPu for example, and PmC 7.62x39 (most of their stuff is rebranded imports for Korea, Russia, or Serbia). Going to see prices increase.
Heeeeyyouguuuuys@reddit
Welp. Fuck.
Toltolewc@reddit
Ppu rifleline my beloved 🥀
Dung_Beetle_2LT@reddit
It probably won’t last all that long. Zastava and PPU are massive contributors to their economy. Either way, I’m glad I got my good deal on a zpap m70 a few weeks ago. Guess I’ll grab another ppu yugo surplus crate on my next trip as well.
BalkanKalash@reddit
This. Serbia domestically and diplomatically is going through a lot at the moment so this is more than likely (like last time happened) posturing for a little bit. Fingers crossed that’s the case at least.
LiberalLamps@reddit
My understanding is that Serbia has banned exports several times, and it never lasts very long.
ocultada@reddit
Oh no! This is horrible news, especially for the milsurp community.
Prvi Partizan was often the only manufacturer for some of the more obscure calibers of ammo available in the US.
historybo@reddit
Rip Carcano ammo
BENboBEN@reddit
This is a big deal for PPU
mobit80@reddit
What on earth, I use their soft point 308 for deer
YXIDRJZQAF@reddit
should I buy some .32acp? isn't PP one of the main manufacturers?
SwanMuch5160@reddit
To Israel, they shut down sales to Israel, so if you’re not in Israel continue your life as normally as possible
uid_0@reddit
They're shutting down all arms exports. It was probably triggered by the fact that they sold a bunch of stuff to the Israelis. From the article:
I'm sure that "diplomatic blowback" came from Moscow.
EastwoodRavine85@reddit
Well, I guess all of those TFBTV videos about Zastava are basically a wash
goshathegreat@reddit
Fuck off
ktmrider119z@reddit
Fuck. Prvi is my primary source for most of my calibers
vegetaman@reddit
Damn. I relied on PPU pretty heavily for my old ass shit.
kers_equipped_prius@reddit
That angry horse dude from the AK subreddit must be ecstatic lol
ohaimike@reddit

They were already hard enough to find

God is no longer a serb :'(
tbrand009@reddit
Tragic.
Glad I bought my AK from them last year. But damn. I'd buy more from them in the future...
juggarjew@reddit
Damn, no more ZPAPs, AK market in the USA just getting worse and worse. Glad I bought one last year.
ChevTecGroup@reddit
I literally have an M85 coming in the mail this week. Couldn't have picked a better time to get a steal in an auction
Galactic_Obama_@reddit
Damn. Glad I just bought 1000 rounds of PPU 5.56
therealrrc@reddit
Of course
