I’m actually impressed that he was able to take it clean off.

Now it’s looks like a intermodal chassis
Baconated-Coffee@reddit
I'm not too sure that's a container chassis, it doesn't have the pin locks for the container.
Toomuchhorntalk69@reddit
Is it possible that he’s the recovery driver and he’s gonna pull it onto that chassis like a roll off?
Edge2110@reddit
I’m almost positive he was roll off transporting it to being with and in the one who hit the bridge
Toomuchhorntalk69@reddit
I think you might be right. It does look like the rear of that trailer is what hit the bridge doesn’t it.
KTMman200@reddit
Most likely going to use the heavy to crane it onto the recovery chassis.
JankyMark@reddit (OP)
Yeah I figured that , it just reminded of that
Largofarburn@reddit
Is the bridge even low? I’d think you’d have to smack it pretty hard to somehow rip the tandems off. But the bridge and the trailer don’t seem to be damaged at all. (Well, not from a bridge strike anyways).
It looks like the bridge is just a coincidence unless I’m missing something.
VBNMW22@reddit
That reefer box and that chassis are obviously two different units.
Raezzordaze@reddit
This. I imagine that's the recovery unit and not the original driver. Unless this was some weird towing rig maybe?
Largofarburn@reddit
That’s what I was trying to figure out. But if it was for recovery why are they on opposite sides of the bridge?
“Dammit Jim! We already cleaned this up once!”
Dull_Conflict7200@reddit
This is the skill they can't teach you in school
cavehill_kkotmvitm@reddit
Well.
That's not fucking ideal.
Renegadegold@reddit
Pulled those away many of times but never with the landing gear
PIGEONMAN569@reddit
I can't tell what I'm seeing. I thought I knew what was happening in the first image, but now I'm noticing that brick is a wall and not truck load.
No_Inflation7432@reddit
Umm. Whatever this trailer is it wasn't pulling that box unless you guys think the doors were facing the tractor?
Live4vrRdieTryin@reddit
New driver here. How many times a year does this happen? Why dont the eggheads in finance departments get some gizmo that scans the overpass and starts beeping loud to alert the driver?
ldlong2832@reddit
What is going on here?
OldBrokeGrouch@reddit
The trailer on the ground is missing its axles for some unknown reason. The truck chassis that you see in picture 1 is obviously the recovery unit that it will be placed on and strapped to in order to relocate it.
ResidentComplaint19@reddit
Why is it facing the wrong direction?
yes-disappointment@reddit
cheap-o tow service probably saw a intermobile chassis and said you know what, I dont need a flat bed to move that trailer. didn't account for the added height of the chassis.
Slayer7_62@reddit
Reefer box was being transported on top of the chassis, note how both have their own landing gear. Now if it was a makeshift trailer or heading to a scrap yard I have no clue.
ResidentComplaint19@reddit
That make sense. So the chassis was probably sitting like a foot higher and dudes probably in flio flops so this was inevitable
shutup_imeating_dirt@reddit
rrrrreally good question
Raymond_de_Vendome@reddit
1 way street?
shutup_imeating_dirt@reddit
I just imagined the trailer goin “I’m freeee ! oh shit I need them leg things actually”
Cutmeinfor25@reddit
You understand the unit on the ground is facing the opposite direction of the trailer attached to the truck and the unit on the ground would’ve actually said “how the **** did a driver manage to delete my axles?”
Clearly the trailer had landing gear and the unit on the ground also had landing gear. I suppose you just have to look at the side that the landing gear would be on
shutup_imeating_dirt@reddit
clearly my joke sucked
Cutmeinfor25@reddit
Clear as mud
shutup_imeating_dirt@reddit
I can see clearly now … something .. about mud. fuck. okay I’m goin to bed.
Creative_Shame3856@reddit
I dropped it, now how do I do the hook thing again?
gingerboi109488@reddit
Never seem transfers done like this ....... shit sonnnn
bogey9651@reddit
Op needs to clarify this story. That's two different units.
Cutmeinfor25@reddit
Lol OP must not be a driver of refer or dry van if he honestly thinks that frame went to that refer. Either that or he has never done a pre trip on a trailer.
SubarcticFarmer@reddit
Nevermind that the van is facing the opposite direction from the truck and took damage to the back and there are two jacks.
TreeBusiness1694@reddit
I’d look up at that bridge in my car idiot
Lazy-Rioter@reddit
Homie forgot to check is twists
PutridContribution41@reddit
Dude, just visually looking at the bridge without any signs clearly you wouldn't be able to make that. Wth?
JankyMark@reddit (OP)
Yeah this is in dc a lot of low bridges in that area
InvestigatorBroad114@reddit
Makes it easier to clean up
OptimalTennis8498@reddit
He’s FUCKED 😭
PlsCheckThisBush@reddit
Impressive, can’t wait to see that reefer trailer in someone’s warehouse as a walk-in cooler.
LickableLeo@reddit
“Unloaded sir, record time”
NSCButNotThatNSC@reddit
10/10 for style. Really stuck the landing.
