Their and everyone elses prices shot up on Oct 7th, 2023 attach. Just a day or so before their were selling XTac for $420 a case and then it tooks many months for the price to come back down. SGAmmo was one that more than once send out emails warning of increasing prices. Some were blacklisted just after Oct 7th attack. I don't recall anything the Velocity did that all the others sellers did not do.

Depends on where they are based, and how much volume they sell in each state. They have to collect in the state they are based, and most states have a sales threshold of $100k annually before the seller must start collecting taxes. They must be selling more to FL than to AZ.

Don't know. Even sale ammo prices don't seem to deviate very much from the mean. Occasionally, there'll be a supply glut or someone will want to move inventory and there's a deal, but it's typically not a loss leader for most places.

.223 should be fine but many report this particular .223 is loaded weakly. Even PMC XTac is claimed to be weaker than the M193 spec. Bronze is just loaded even weaker than XTac according to may others on Reddit. I have never bought any Bronze. Some think XTac provides better groups than most other 55gr ammo.

I have some Fiocchi .223 but never bought Fiocchi 5.56. I shot with someone Friday who was shooting Fiocchi 5.56 and may shoot with him again Wednesday. I'll ask him I can swap ammo so I can test it. The instructor of my AR class was using Fiocchi ammo to show how well one can shoot with even poor quality ammo. I assume he was using 5.56 gr Fiocchi. But others on Reddit do like Fiocchi 5.56 ammo. The instructor recommend I buy PMC Bronze for the class to get some affordable ammo. I already had PMC XTac so I used it. I get the best groups with IMI 77gr Razor Core followed closely by AAC 75gr BTHP Match. I don't get great results with AAC 77gr OTM 2700 FPS ammo in my firearms but others did get good results with that ammo. AAC switched to a different powder for their OTM ammo that only provides 2550 FPS.
