ULPT Scammed out of $300

Hello, I was looking for help on how to navigate this. I was looking into purchasing chickens for my father for Father's Day, and I came across this page and began to chat with him, and was really interested in them, and began to talk about price and shipping. He had me completely fooled because after the payment was sent, he would still update me about delivery dates and still have a normal conversation. When the day came to receive the birds (today), he blocked me everywhere and can no longer get in contact. I have called my bank and pleaded for hours to help, and there was no help at all. What should I do??

I had an international transaction happen on my bank account and it was denied as I have international transactions turned off. Then they processed it, took my money, declined my dispute about it, even the PD report. But it originally denied because I don’t have international transactions turned on. Now I am fighting to get my money which was 2k. (Chime).

you did the transaction voluntarily so you're not getting your money back
hard lesson to learn but there's hundreds of scammers out there always after your money, especially online where no one knows anyone

This is not correct. Do a chargeback. You'll get your money returned.

I got chicken scammed too. Apparently it's a common thing on Facebook.

I dont know where in the world you are located, but if youre anywhere near Idaho or SLC, I would be happy to give you a couple of laying hens.
We ended up with all this years chickens surviving(that NEVER happens), so we have more than we need.

Any time you send money to someone for something, use PayPal and for goods and services.
Such a bummer about what happened. People suck.

How did you send the money to the person.
Powerful_Trip9986@reddit (OP)
Unfortunately through Zelle

It's gone. Consider it lesson learned for the future. Never send money through zelle to people you don't know. In fact, I wouldn't use it. There's no protection using zelle.
