Looks like everyone survived, initial report said it was a fatal wreck.

I wonder if the trucks fuel tank ripped off and flamed up after falling? That seemed like the fireball for a car, no?

Can’t read the article some damn ad keeps popping up for Norton virus. I’m gonna give them a virus here cough cough, cough cough.
WTAF__Trump@reddit
The irony is Norton is a virus.
Once it's on your PC, it causes pop-ups, interrupts your use of the PC constantly, and it's very hard to get rid of without reinstalling the operating system.
Tell me that's not a fucking virus.
bapeach-@reddit
Oh yeah, I remember now Norton needs to be very, very popular than fill out a favor
Kristalderp@reddit
The anti-virus you get now on Windows 10 honestly is the best out there now. A lot of the "good" ones before, like Malwarebytes and Norton, are insufferable af rn with their pop-up ads.
Kern4lMustard@reddit
I use a VPN, and there are many news articles I can't even read. Just big white page that says something along the lines of 'we care about your experience and want to provide the best ads'

Driver of the four wheeler, Nurbin Remigio Hernandez-Guzman (as reported by MSN), was charged with driving w/o a license, leaving the scene of an incident, and reckless driving.

Ran off in to the woods.

Fuck that. He needs incarceration, then deportation.

And send whoever tf gave him the keys with him.
J_money18769@reddit
Yeah Joe Biden and the Democrats. The fact that it's controversial to be pissed that they let 10 MILLION people in, in 4 years is insane to me. They completely changed the fabric of our country and we are reaping the repercussions of it daily.
snowman741@reddit
You shouldn't spread false information. That 10 million number is being misrepresented. You're probably referring to the number of border encounters, which includes every stop made by Border Patrol. But that doesn't mean 10 million people were let in.
A large portion were either turned away, deported, or expelled especially under Title 42, which was still used during part of Biden's term. Many others are in the U.S. under temporary or pending asylum claims they haven’t been granted permanent status, and some will be denied and deported.
The actual number of migrants who have likely remained in the country under Biden is estimated to be closer to 2–3 million, not 10 million.
You can be critical of immigration policy, but let’s be honest with the numbers. Repeating misleading claims just derails any serious conversation.
Thehunnerbunner2000@reddit
Amen to that. The amount of ignorance in this country is astounding.
snowman741@reddit
Yes it is and seems to just be getting worse and worse. The news, social media, Facebook, reddit. People just don't care anymore to get the real facts or they just tell bits of the information but leave out other very important parts of information to make it seem worse than it actually is.

Should have kept running south for a couple of thousand miles.
flowermaneurope@reddit
After an accident like that, I don’t know how anyone could be out on the lamb for 3 hours. He’s already screwed, should have just waited for the ambulance, go to the hospital and get some pain control and an evaluation at least. Once he’s in ICE custody, we all know how much medical care he’ll receive.
WIbigdog@reddit
He might not even have gotten charged with anything if he didn't run, it looked like a stupid but non-malicious mistake over overcorrecting after drifting close to the semi.
Advanced-Sherbert-29@reddit
No, he was 100% getting charged. Even if the accident somehow wasn't his fault he was driving without a license.

Meltedwhisky@reddit
This drives me crazy, where I live it’s estimated to have a 30% drivers without insurance. That blows my mind
CuriosTiger@reddit
And cops routinely stop drivers without insurance, give them a ticket or even just a warning and let them keep driving.
Astounding.
ArdenJaguar@reddit
Like here in CA. It’s 40% according to my insurance lady at AAA. My car insurance is ridiculous for a six year old car and perfect driving/accident record. I carry high limits and high uninsured/underinsured coverage because I figure I’ll eventually get hit by someone.
Phraates515@reddit
My car insurance is double what it was 5 years ago and we drive 10 heat old cars. We had full coverage but rhunk8ng about dropping to liability just because of the age of the cars. I still can't believe how much they cost when they are aging.
Handies@reddit
It’s why I preach to always have full coverage and over insure
meowMEOWsnacc@reddit
Yuuuuuup. 30% of drivers in my area are either underinsured or uninsured. Wild.

Interesting-Yak6962@reddit
I’m trying to figure out what prompted him to do this. Did he fall asleep? It looks like he veered left and then bounced off the wall or something and then came flying back to the right and into the truck?
cosp85classic@reddit
Right before the car shot left, you can see it drifted slightly into the truck's lane. Driver was either not paying attention (playing with phone?), or dozed off for second, then realized where they were and overreacted and overcorrected.
Automatic_Edge1726@reddit
Thank God no one was killed. I have friends that drive for CTI and thankfully this was not one of them. What sickens me is the driver of the car fled on foot! Thankfully he was apprehended
Kinsei01@reddit
My ma was going right through there yesterday. But I hadn't heard from her since yesterday morning so I contacted her to make sure she was alright and she mentioned she had gone through about 15 mins before the crash. Lucky her.
doinmydeed@reddit
The lads CANNOT drive.
Been driving around these boys for over a decade. It's like they depend on a dice roll in their head to determine their next move.
They're uneducated, and I have sympathy for them, but as a driver in a governed truck, you have to get them away from you. Use your air horn, brights, and ride the line to keep them moving. Otherwise, they'll be a dangerous nuisance for miles.
jose_guapo_@reddit
Wtf are lads?
Maleficent_Beyond_95@reddit

OutcomeSalty337@reddit
He doesn't know. Looked like car had steering issues. Hard left into wall first . I don't think there was anything the trucker could have done.

scottwell50@reddit
Or woke up.
rudmad@reddit
Looked up
Mechanik_J@reddit
4 wheeler was probably texting or distracted. Got really scared and over corrected when it was about to hit the truck.
I usually use the air horn and honk if I notice a car coming up on my left not paying attention, going to slow for an overtake, or distracted by their phone.
And if they don't do anything, I usually slow it down, get on the right edge of the lane and let these idiots pass.
Little_Dikk@reddit
The car overreacted and the trucker should’ve kept his lane
hoarder59@reddit
Blame the trucker? He got hit in the steer. I think you are the one who needs to stay in your lane.
KitteyGirl2836@reddit
The driver of the passenger car, identified as Nurbin Remigio Hernandez-Guzman, lost control and struck the semi, causing the semi-truck to leave the roadway and go off a bridge, down onto Highway 60. The semi caught fire, but remarkably, the driver sustained only minor injuries.
Hernandez-Guzman fled the scene on foot. Troopers launched a relentless search, and after approximately three hours, located and apprehended him in a nearby wooded area. He was booked into the Craig County Jail on the following charges:

Over corrected like an asshole
flowermaneurope@reddit
Goodness gracious, great balls of fire. I was on I44 from Tulsa to OK City this morning then I35 down to Dallas where I’m at for the night. I’m curious what was the reason for the car to loose control like that.
mikeblas@reddit
Cars don't lose control, drivers do. Sorry to nitpick, but it drives me nuts that people assign responsibility to the vehicle and not the driver when it's the driver's fault.
Looks like they drifted right then snapped left, inducing a spin. The initial fade could've been because of anything: distracted, drunk, fatigued, ... but the overcorrection is certainly due to inexperience.
boston02124@reddit
4 wheeler with their phone in their hand.
$100 ticket for them. Why would they ever stop
EatLard@reddit
Sounds like he’s in for more than a $100 fine. He’s either going to rot in prison for a while or get deported.
SuperConfused@reddit
Why not both?
duhrun@reddit
Car went into his lane nearly half of his car, car then swerves hard to left and loses control then hits the truck to the right. Car driver either fell asleep or was looking at a device. So to all truckers on cb who say ‘mind your own business’ after me telling them to put phone down it is my business.
heathenfloydsson@reddit
Dude I HATE seeing truck drivers texting n shit. I know 99% of phone users are guilty of it to some extent. But when I see mfs driving a 80k semi with their phone in one hand and dick in the other, Im immediately infuriated.

Jesus Christ that's scary.
jasonhuot@reddit
Comments mention everyone survived, thank god! If you watch close, the truck continues quite a few feet before the fireball ignites behind it seconds later. The fire must have been spilt gas and not the tank/truck itself.
Choice_Friend3479@reddit
Steer tire blew or was that the mother of all panic?
James0057@reddit
The vehicle to the left lost control and ended up hitting thebtruck's steer wheel. Causing it to go off the bridge onto highway 60.
