Outed as a Trekkie during a work meeting

I was on a charity board call on Monday where I disagreed with the chairman on a small matter. I've known him since I was a teenager, but am still relatively new to his foundation board and 15-60 years younger than the rest of the members, so I asked, "Permission to speak freely, sir?" He granted me said permission, but instantly someone dropped this clip in the chat, and the rest of the group started laughing.
I have used that phrase hundreds of times in my life, but this was the first time someone called out where I learned it. Fortunately, I have a sense of humor, and it was undeniably a great clip since we do bear a resemblance to those two, so I recovered by saying, "Frankly, I'm just glad you posted a clip of Riker, not Wesley." Even so, I think the jokes will continue, as this morning, I received an email stating, "Excellent minutes, Cadet."
Does anyone else find themselves using phrases from Star Trek in their everyday life?

Um, how old are some of these colleagues of yours? ;-) Where I'm from, retirement age is 67.

It is a board of directors for a large non-profit foundation, and only one of the guys is 60 years older than me. He is 90. He was a mentor to the primary funder of the foundation; the chairman (who is 70), and has given millions to it himself.

I see, makes sense for a non-profit foundation. Thanks for explaining.

Doing tech support at work, I sometimes said when presented with a problem, that I needed to run a Level 5 diagnostic on the computer! No one got it!
QuestioningYoungling@reddit (OP)
That's good.

Star Trek phrases creep into my verbiage pretty much daily.
Spock: "_______, if I may?"
Data: "Stand by. Processing."
Picard: "And the sky's the limit."
McCoy: "WE will."

you forgot the one where Commander Shelby rips Riker a new one in the turbolift.

I’ve almost said this one because it’s deeply ingrained in me as well, but realized where it was coming from and that I wasn’t serving in a sci-fi military so I substituted “well, frankly…” or the like.

If I was going to make a Star Trek drinking game it'd be called "All Due Respect." I imagine the early show writers came up with these as workarounds so they could have their characters say whatever they're thinking and then it just became how starfleet talks. This is a great supercut btw. I want to save it for later.
QuestioningYoungling@reddit (OP)
Yeah. The lady who posted it had it start on the first TNG clip, but the whole supercut is great. Reminded me how much I love Star Trek, especially TNG-DS9-VOY.

I'll say "Engage" with the pointy finger right before sex.
Ok maybe not. But I do sometimes say it (with the gesture) to cars in front of me when the light turns green.
