ULPT : I’m 16. You need to be 18 to be a doordash driver. If I used my grown brother’s ID for verification, would anything stop me from being the one delivering orders?

whenever I see a woman that’s my dasher on the app , it’s always a guy that comes and drops off the food lol.

You will most definitely get caught.
Fake ID, driving without insurance, driving without licence followed by whatever traffic violation you committed that warranted the attention to your underage driving.
You will then get an arrest charge that will show up on background checks.
A criminal record anywhere is a huge effect in life. It blocks college applications, extracurriculars. You won't get jobs in professions with above minimum salary, such as teaching, law, local authority, tech industry. And you won't get a work visa, which means travelling and working abroad is out.
In short, you will be stuck for life in menial work, low pay, renting and on the bread line status.
The risks of getting caught are very high. It really is not worth it.
Anyone who is pushing you into working is exploiting you and is abusing you.

Aye aye 🫡 was just speculating, not making a full plan or anything. Thanks!

I suspect you'd get reported pretty quickly if you don't look like him.
Cuneus-Maximus@reddit
Maybe. Most delivery people I see don't match their photos. I only report them if they are shitty.

Nah, lots of times the app she’s a chick and some dude shows up. They buy and sell these accounts and i always see the same ones. Idk if anyone cares
patrick-latinahunter@reddit
I actually don’t think so. Everybody just selects leave at the door.

Your brother will be taxed on that income, not you. Bad idea.

A huge and often complained about problem with Gig Delivery Drivers is often men clearly using their spouse's accounts.
So yes, this is doable. Sometimes these sorts of apps will use facial recognition, to verify you are the person (often after periods of inactivity, or once every few months) so your brother probably needs to be in on this with you. As well as insurance needing to be with his name listed (at least on Uber Eats, I dont remember for Doordash).
TLDR you should just have your brother make the account and do the work yourself.

What's the reason for this? I see this a lot actually: app says it's a woman driver but then the person delivering is a man. It's not like as the orderer we get to choose who delivers our food.
Kafkabest@reddit
Felons, undocumented, people who have been banned (if you do badly enough enough times, they will eventually kill your account), etc.
Lotta people do gigs as a couple too and the woman might just be in the car.

Ex-cons can't drive for fucking Doordash? What the hell has this country come to. No wonder our recidivism rates are so high.
borbor8@reddit
I see it a lot on Instacart too.
Particular-Image2376@reddit
Yup like this guy says. Have him sign up and u do it
Particular-Image2376@reddit
No. I dont report anything. I'm told on the app it should be a girl name Jane and get a guy instead. I dont care
borbor8@reddit
Same here. It’s not like they’d come in my home. As long as my order is fine, I don’t care.
Daddysnaughtygirl234@reddit
Your brother might be pissed come tax season.
Sudden-Wish8462@reddit
I heard doordash requires real time selfies to cut down on the number of people using someone else’s identity. But I’m not sure how often it’s required. Maybe you can get your brother to do the selfie for you? Also keep in mind the doordash income will affect how much taxes he owes. I say go for it and worst case scenario doordash will close your account
glavent@reddit
Nothing is stopping you.
If something happens while “app on” then they will find out and de platform.
