Giving this old Vaio mate and upgrades

Gotta say, it's a fun project to fix up this thrift store Vaio with some much needed upgrades. Mate seems to work well with it :) and suggestions are welcomed

Love it. Part of the charm of getting an old anything is cleaning it up and making looks as new as possible. Plus I'm sure the dirt prob got the price down a bit lower.

It was for 20 bucks. Also I love to try and fix/ clean old tech when I come across it. I have a few 360s that I enjoyed cleaning up and saving

Dont need an upgrade,
Old Notebooks or PCs fit always well for Linux Distributions and they give that special vibe that you dont have when you use a modern Notebook or PC.

Wellllll the old hard drive was DOA. I was going to put win7 ultimate on it but I wanted to try out Linux mate and I have to say I am impressed

Man- truly sad that Sony got rid of Vaio. I have a Vaio VPCF1, and loved that thing. I still have it and just had the battery re-celled.
