Yes, you actually do submit it. You enroll in the college and submit transcripts but never actually sign up for any classes. After the transcripts, it took 24 hours-ish. They send an email with details on how to set it up. You can even get a student id.

you can get discounts on Spotify premium, also many software applications for engineering are free to students, like Autodesk products. There are ways to get Solidworks as well. Also with a university email address, you can ask companies to send samples of products for something your lab is developing and they often only charge you for shipping.

They'll cut you off eventually. After a number of years they started asking me to present proof I was still in school which I did since I had moved to a masters program. After a few extensions, they cut me off. I keep debating just cancelling it since it's not as great as it was and I've been using W+ more these days.
