Parcel force. Can I ask them to just leave next door?

So I have an order that I missed today (I need it fairly quick), I had to go to work, should have been working from home, it's the same tomorrow. The only options I seem to have are to arrange a pickup or set a new address, but they aren't possible for tomorrow, only the next day. They left a card saying they'll reattempt delivery tomorrow at my home address. Can I just leave a note on the door saying "please leave next door"? I mean, it's not rocket science is it. Anyone else done that and it's worked? Thanks!

Three things. You need to make sure your neighbours are okay with taking parcels in for you, you need to tell your neighbours when a package is due to be dropped at their house for you, and you'll need to check if they will be at home when the parcel will be delivered. If all those things are good then you shouldn't have a problem. However if the shipping option you selected requires your signature they may not do that. You could just organise for you to pick it up from a collection point, I've done that a lot and it is fairly easy to do.
