What alternatives has everyone been using?
Classic_Mammoth_9379@reddit
My mum likes the Cappuccinos and alerted me to this issue a few weeks ago. So I think the answer is yet there seems to be some issue but no idea what.
Particular_Jury_6601@reddit
They were cutting pack content down again now only 7 in a box
Particular_Jury_6601@reddit
Just a greedy company cutting down box content from 8 to 7
Particular_Jury_6601@reddit
Clearly the problem was cutting contents down from 8 to 7 satchets greedy company

I’m really glad I’m not the only one with this issue. I only drink decaf and I’m starting to go off the taste of milk, so the decaf cappuccino sachets are brilliant for me. I’ve really missed them!
NachorinoBambino@reddit
Been out of stock at my local Sainsbury’s for well over a month now. Having to buy the expensive Starbucks sachets and even their wearing thin on stock
ellemonkeybum@reddit (OP)
I think Starbucks is quite bitter. I have been given a tip to try Home Bargains… worth a shot!

Just struck gold yesterday - caramel latte and mocha in stock in my Morrisons! Maybe the issue will be over soon… sending strength to those craving their fix!! 😂😂
Sisiouxxx@reddit
It’s been the same in Manchester, all the supermarkets are empty shelves where the Nescafé stock usually is. I’ve been getting lucky at b&m and smaller stores having the odd one or two boxes but I’m seriously addicted to their choc mocha ones and I’m stressing 😅 I’m taking it as a sign to ween myself off them after this hahaha!
Upferret@reddit
Yes there's a problem, should be sorted by the end of the month.

I believe there has been a fire at one of their factories/depots which is hampering production.
FuzzyBear74@reddit
I work for a supermarket and we had a range change on the coffee a couple of weeks ago. All the old Nescafé sachets were discontinued and the labels have been put out for the new lines. It is probably something like new packaging or shrinkflation due to rising costs of beans. Hopefully won’t be too long before it comes back in
Typical-Pumpkin1010@reddit
It seems to have been temporarily replaced by a bigger selection of Costa sachets. I bought them to try and sadly I don’t like them! Hope Nescafé sachets come back soon
Particular_Age_2204@reddit
No costa are nasty too strong
Particular_Age_2204@reddit
Not been any in Hertfordshire for months now
rosylux@reddit
Google brought me here because I’ve been impatiently waiting for them to restock for weeks. The Kenco mocha tin is a nice temporary alternative but obscenely expensive.
Kezly@reddit
Good opportunity to buy coffee that isn't A) dried grounds of dirt, and B) made by a horrible company
Cyzax007@reddit
There is an issue, caused entirely by Nescafe's need to screw over their customers...
They stopped deliveries of these for a few weeks, and have now started them again. The reason they did it was to change the contents from 8 sachets to 7 sachets. They're still the same price per box, and the same size. Effectively, they raised price by 1/8th, AND increased their carbon footprint per sachet as they still use the same amount of boxing.
Very scummy example if shrinkflation...
SyKatz0@reddit
London here can’t find it in any supermarkets such as Tesco Sainsbury’s And Waitrose
Aromatic_Cow_3763@reddit
…and now there’s only 7 sachets in the new boxes coming back into stock 😤
Math_hurts_Sometimes@reddit
Wow; I had my suspicions because the Sainsbury's Local just around the corner from me has been out of stock for a few weeks and this is pretty much the only coffee I drink (aside from getting the occasional coffee from the local cafe). I asked a staff member and he seemed as confused as I was.
I was actually just about to go to Poundland to do my shopping and hoped to find some there; now I'm doubtful. I actually like the different flavours, but drink the original flavour most regularly. Well, I guess that's the end of cheap coffee then. The alternavites in Sainsbury's has eye-watering prices.
01watts@reddit
There is a global coffee shortage this year, don’t know if that has anything to do with it.
LindaMargaret54@reddit
Doesn't seem to affect coffee companies though ?
l0singmyedg3@reddit
definitely a problem everywhere. i live close enough to a nestle factory to smell the chocolate most nights & i've noticed the same!!
Typical-Pumpkin1010@reddit
Might be something to do with this. Neacafe themselves only have the caramel latte on sale on their website. There is seemingly a global shortage I have seen posts from Australia too complaining about empty shelves. But this says that a court has closed down a Nescafé factory in Thailand

Been like it for a few weeks for me in Kent, my local Asda and Morrisons both not had any.
Not for me, I’m a black coffee from a cafetière kind of guy. (Ueshima Fuji Mountain for me pls)
But my missus started drinking the nestle decaf unsweetened cappuccino sachets when she was pregnant and now prefers the decaf over anything else.
Nobody does decaf sachets and she wants the frothy cappuccino type coffee.
So I just bought a milk frother from home bargains for £15, some decaf grounds and make her one myself now.
Much better she says, and will be cheaper in the long run.
Win win!
Camoxide2@reddit
Good, it's owned by Nestle who are one of the scummiest companies in the world.

Jeez, you’d think they’ve said drinking water isn’t a human right or something.
Wide-Cover323@reddit
Here’s what local Morrisons says, it’s Newcastle
starsandbribes@reddit
If you’re buying instant anyway, use this as an opportunity to jump to L’or Intense. Stronger coffee without being Nestle.
JoeDaStudd@reddit
Stronger coffee doesn't mean better coffee.\ If anything they over roast poor coffee to hide the quality and make it last longer.
LittleSadRufus@reddit
If you can't detect the quality is worse, does it matter, practically speaking?
JoeDaStudd@reddit
It's like making chips so salty pretty much all as you taste us the salt.\ A good chip shouldn't just taste of salt.
The thing is coffee companies have been pushing this has what coffee should taste as it's cheaper to make, stores for longer and requires less effort.\ Find a good independent coffee shop and you'll be surprised how mild, smooth and flavourful a good coffee can be.
starsandbribes@reddit
A lot of light roasted arabica tastes like raisins to me, its too acidic and fruity. I want my coffee to almost be chocolate mud.
LittleSadRufus@reddit
I think there's no comparison between instant and real coffee. I just consider them different products entirely tbh.
JoeDaStudd@reddit
Yes but either way stronger coffee doesn't automatically mean better. In most cases the stronger it is the worse it is.
zerumuna@reddit
L’or is the nicest instant coffee though to be fair
Forsaken_Hat5481@reddit
I absolutely love the L'or range 😍
West_Yorkshire@reddit
You're french and you love oranges?
rhyithan@reddit
No, they’re French and like “tidy gold”
dewittless@reddit
Yeah there's been crop failures on the mass produced beans. Now's the time to start grinding your own!
TippyTurtley@reddit
I think it gets nicked so they don't put much out
KaidaShade@reddit
Noticed the same thing last night, how odd.
TieDyePandas@reddit
I had a customer mention to me at work the other day about how they couldn't find any recently, so maybe?
EdmundTheInsulter@reddit
