Given that most people wouldn’t be able to name all the sons of the last monarch, let alone their security detail (excluding the heir, some have had their detail exponentially enhanced, a position which Harry opted out of) it seems Harry is being treated exceptionally by having made all of the private detail public. He *chose* to exempt himself, it was made very clear what the outcome would be. Again, the argument of ‘well all of them or none of them should have it’ is like arguing the Tesco staff discount after leaving the role. Whether Asda allow it or Sainsbury’s or whoever… *is irrelevant*. They’re not the same. The Tesco policy applies to Tesco, the Asda policy applies to Asda. There’s no reason the staff discount polices across *all* supermarket workers needs to be the same. There’s no hidden trickery, there are precedents within the royal family. Harry isn’t her first to have noped out. He’s the first to have done so *knowing full well what it entailed* and then whinged about it. It’s like signing over the house in a divorce and later going *bUt I hAvEnT gOt A hOuSe nOw*.
