Rear-view Mirror for Trek Rally WaveCel helmet?

A minor crash has convinced me that I need a rear view mirror while ebiking. (I was trying to check for traffic behind me, then had to brake quickly, and down I went. Getting back into riding after many years does have minor challenges.)
I’m using rideshare ebikes, so I can’t really attach a mirror to whichever ebike I happen to rent.
Can anyone recommend a mirror that I can attach to my Trek Rally WaveCel helmet? It’s okay if it’s expensive—I greatly value my safety. (Ancient bones don’t heal so quickly.) Thank you.
Off topic: this particular helmet is by far the most comfortable one I have ever worn. It doesn’t poke or rub the top of my pointy old head, like so many others do.

Would a quick release mirror like this work?

I'm a bit skittish of helmet mirrors because of the opportunity for an eye injury in the event of a crash. But if that's a block, I'd at least be looking for something flexible so it'll move instead of break. Anything hard mount, pokey, metal would be a no-go for me, personally.

For me I just find helmet mirrors to be really ineffective.
I've tried a variety of mirror setups, and the style that goes into the end of the handlebar is by far and away the best option (e.g. Mirrcyle).
The trouble with the helmet-based ones is that they require blocking more of your vision persistently, and/or require significant eye refocusing compared to a handlebar mount, both of which are a problem for situational awareness.
And the ones that go on the handlebar instead of the end piece rarely have the length to go out far enough to actually see much, and typically lack flexibility compared to something like the Mirrcycle.

I see where you're coming from, but...it depends. I have a helmet mirror that I used for a few years while skateboarding (so no other placement choice) and I find it quite effective. Got an ebike last week with some handlebar mirrors, but they were cheap, from aliexpress and have flat glass in them. I ended up using the helmet mirror all the time because the handlebar mirrors just never ended up pointing anywhere useful, with the flat glass and the need to move handlebars.
Maybe it's just because I'm used to it, but I do find a helmet mirror useful.

I have this mirror myself and use it every single day 14 miles each way on my commute to work.

I used that one for years on pedal bikes with a helmet...... once a person it used to it it's fine.
I'm over 60 and now have a mirror one on the handlebar.

Maybe look into a detachable radar set-up. Radar really is a game changer, and it’s not some gimmick.
