Best gym in MK that isn't crowded?

Hello all
I recently have become interested in increasing my physical health.
I would like your recommendations on a gym to become a member to, in which doesn't get too busy as I don't like crowded social situations.
Please can you also think of if the gym you're mentioning has friendly staff to show how to use the equipment etc? I've never really been properly to a gym before
Any budget welcome, I can use common sense from there
I'm a 26 year old male if that helps.

Not either of the gyms in Winterhill. I was at JD Gym (great staff, awesome facilities) but got fed up of queuing to get into and leave the car park.

JD gym is great but it does have a few issues that it needs to address (leaking ceiling, time it takes to repair equipment). I love going here. The staff are great and very friendly. The range of equipment is fantastic.

Thoughts on Nuffield?

Small with dreadful range of equipment. Many of the gym goers there are rude (both Kent's Hill and Xscape) Xscape site has something like 5 benches in front of the barbells. One squat rack. Predominantly cardio machines. Overpriced for what it offers.

Vile reception especially Tia and danny

I can see that this is a an old thread but FWIW I was looking for quiet, friendly gym with good parking and Snap Fitness in Oakridge Park ticks all the boxes, it’s 24 hours, lots of gym equipment and it’s all recently renovated and/or replaced, it’s very quiet (I never need to queue for equipment), the staff and members are very pleasant. A recent change of management resulted in new facilities, new classes and some additional staff. Compared to Pure, it’s much quieter and more easy-going. There’s no show-offs / meat-heads, so you can chill-out. I used to go to David Lloyd but their prices went off the chart now they have to pay for their recent upgrades - plus it always annoyed me that they close too early.

The gym at Willen lake is almost empty near all times apart from the peak few hours, equipment is not the best but it is definitely not crowded.

Do you have to pay to park?
Old-Ad-3744@reddit
There is free parking at the back of Willen just over the bridge. 5min walk to gym.
Parking next to the gym you have gotta pay

The Good Gym MK. On Kiln Farm.

I think every gym is going to be reasonably busy if you’re going at peak times… that’s why they are peak times.
But in terms of good gym, I would 100% second Fierce gym in Wolverton. Incredible space, could potentially be a little intimidating as it’s home for some insanely strong/athletic people, but every single person I have spoken to has been lovely, they have classes and lots of PT options depending on your goals

Can’t beat kiss gym. I go every morning mon-fri and it’s peaceful every machine is available. Headphones on and get to work.

I love Fierce in Wolverton.

Snap at redhouse park had free Carpark, is 24 hours, empty and cheap.

I can't find one online at rehouse? Only oakridge park
ricopicouk@reddit
Oh sorry, you're right, oakridge - bit further up the road, next to asda

Have a look at PureGym in Winterhill. They have one in Kingston as well if that’s closer to you.

The PureGym in kingston is rammed apart from late night/ early mornings these days

If you want a gym that is literally empty then visit Spirit Health Club. It's located underneath the Holiday Inn up the City Centre. Honestly it's so quiet in there and not many people know that it even exists.

Energie Brooklands.

David Lloyd is ace and is opening a spa retreat at the end of the year

Imo, both puregyms are crowded after work. You might have better luck with a local leisure centre. Mine has less equipment than puregym but soo much less ppl! Also the classes and facilities are much more varied

Most gyms around here can get quite busy as peak times, if it being quiet is a top priority then it’d be best to go during mornings or late evening / weekends.

I moved so don’t go anymore as I’ve moved but the good gym (previously energie fitness) is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to! The owners are so lovely and really welcoming to all people - can get busy but the atmosphere is so welcoming I felt really comfortable
