How do.i trace a mobile number for free?

Anyone know how to trace a mobile number for free?

Had a call from a dubious sounding individual saying he was 'Vivs' mate, you know it's 'Scouse, Vivs mate' i don't know Viv kror Scouse,then he said is that.... and said my name, i said no and he hung up. My call history says i had a call from same number in February but I declined it, don't remember that , but curious and none then wiser.

I usually decline numbers i don't recognise on my personal number.

If I can get the location , I might have an idea who it is

This is a good suggestion, last I knew it worked. WhatsApp are doing a big campaign about privacy now though so ymmv if its still a thing.

Search the number on Facebook. If it's connected to an account, it might bring up a name.

You can make a fake link online for example a link to Facebook video then when they click it will give you their IP and approximate location within 3 miles

Other than what has already been suggested (social media searches and checking for a whatsapp image) there is very little that can be done from publicly available data. Private investigators and detectives have access to a much wider set of information and can access additional information from places such as sales & marketing data. It doesn't necessarily matter if the phone number is contract or P.A.Y.G as it may still show results, www.revealpi.com provide UK phone number tracing services and the number alone may be enough to confirm a full name and address.

Add them as a contact and see if they use WhatsApp or Telegram.

Failing that just message him saying "honestly don't remember who ya are lad, but I've done a lot a naughty gear, remind me ya proper name r kid and where we met and I'll have a think"

End of the day he's only got your number, not like he knows where you live if you figure out you don't know him and block the number. Maybe he's going through old phone records on vivs phone looking for potential people she's copped off with after the waltzers have shut like.

I don't see how knowing where a call came from helps identify who it was.

Say they where in a car parked outside a drive in fast food place. As good as bring anonymous.

Just block the number on your phone. Then they can't call you again.

The only thing you could do is find out which network they are on based off of the number. That's it though.
