Looking to try Archery

I just moved to Dallas, and am wanting to try my hand at archery. I don't have any equipment or anything. Needs to be an adult place everywhere I have found has been for kids lol, any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi there! I've been doing archery for 7 years (shortbow, not hunting) in the DFW area. I can personally attest to Cinnamon Creek Ranch- they're fantastic and I've spent hours shooting there.
Shockingly? The Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine has an indoor archery range. It's a bit small/bare bones but is great for practice, and isn't as far away as some of the other ranges mentioned.

cinnamon creek ranch in roanoke or texas archery academy in plano. both are beginner friendly for all ages and have rental equipment

Seconded on Texas Archery Academy. Very good people there and they are good at helping/teaching a bit and have a decent stock of choices.

Is texas archery academy still open? On google maps the reviews say closed but i’m not sure

I got started at TXAA in Plano. I took the weekend "intro to archery" then did day passes until I was doing it enough to justify the yearly membership. These days I alternate between TXAA/IBA for shooting.
IBA is a fantastic place to shoot (by far the best outdoor range nearby), but there's no rental equipment.
The members/coaches at TXAA are friendly and helpful, there's rental equipment, and it's really hard to beat 24/7 access for members, BUT they had to close their larger Plano location. The other two locations with rental equipment (Frisco and McKinney) are.... adequate, but they aren't staffed so I don't think they do walk-ins/day passes. There's a weekly 101 class at the Frisco range on Wednesdays, and I think you can book a weekend "discovery" class at the McKinney location, and you can book lesson with one of the coaches to be able to come shoot. But if you just want to show up and shoot on your own from time to time I think you need a membership (which tbf is relatively cheap).

Not the OP - but I got into archery relatively recently (~2 yrs), and I was interested in doing some private lessons. Do you have any experience with that or any recommendations for coaches in the area? I shoot Olympic Recurve.

Dallas College at Brookhaven used to offer archery classes. Check there!

IBA is great but doesn't rent out equipment.

Try searching on Meetup. I remember I have seen a group which provides a free introductory archery class, then you can pay to continue learning.
