As someone who has experienced comphet, it absolutely reads as that way to me. It’s a very familiar story. She’s overcompensating with the men, trying to force something she doesn’t understand yet, and then not actually caring in the long run about anyone but Xena. But I can also appreciate that a bisexual person may read it as more in line with their own experience. Steven Sears wrote her as a lesbian, Renee was likely playing her as bisexual/generally queer, there’s no official answer, so reading it either way is completely valid.
