Looking to Move to London

This probably sounds frivolous and naive, but it’s been honestly on my mind since I visited last October. I’ve been wanting to visit London since I was like 12, and I honestly fell in love with it. I’m an 18 yo girl and for all that going to uni still (and a few more years to go).
I often joke about moving there, my dad even has a colleague who lives there. My parents are oddly supportive, like “why don’t you?”. It’s so tempting, I loved London. Maybe I love people too much, and I’ll get sick of it. But the way I saw it was that people were just in a hurry, if you stand gawking someone will get mad at you lol. The architecture is what struck me the most though, I think. My mother grew up in Rome, like, downtown Rome. She told me she never got sick of seeing sights all day, and I honestly think the same.
But my question is how? People are always talking about the job market, and perhaps my major doesn’t benefit me? Im a physics major, working on my BS. I would think most jobs are in a business, marketing or law territory. Ig I’m asking how do I survive here? Is there any hope for me lol? Are there other people who are able to afford homes in a similar field of work? Do I js find a bf who lives there already? (insane I know). I know homes are ridiculously pricy there (as in most big cities). Sorry about the long post, I just genuinely feel silly and helpless with this!
If you were in a similar (in any way) situation as me, and managed to move to London, how did you go about it?

Nothing wrong with romanticizing at 18 about living in London. I did and I live here now.

Same. Been here 8 years now.

Many people live this dream and have the best time of their lives.

If you’re planning on advanced education (ie masters or PHD), London could be a good place to study. Moving for graduate school gives you a built in community, and most importantly, a visa.
I would not move here for work first, unless you have family here. London can be incredibly lonely, and very hard to make friends.

You might review the UK’s immigration requirements first:

I think you will quickly figure out whether that's possible or not after doing some financial calculations. nothing wrong with having a goal to live in London and work towards it. it may not be immediate, perhaps maybe in 5 or 10 years time. your post reads a bit like you're romanticising the place a bit and often the reality isn't what you have always expected. however you are aware that it might be a bit naive, which is a good thing.
in any case, you can work out from a job you might get in London, the cost of living for rent, food and transport (and everything else), then see if it fits within your budget and compromises you are willing to make. compare this to other places and see what you get and whether it is feasible. since you say you're still studying, would it be possible to do a semester exchange there to get a feel of what it's like to live there? if i may also comment on your degree, i think it's a great choice (albeit a bit biased from me because I'm also coming from a science background) and you will have lot of options for work when you finish, doesn't matter where it might be. maybe even consider doing a PhD there (perhaps not just in london but also other UK places) if you are interested in research.
