Getting a new cat welded in?

On the left is a new downpipe with catalytic converter in it that I installed to my car. The flange at the top mates to the turbo outlet. I cannot get the new cat to seal that joint.
The pipe is pretty odd shaped, but is this something an exhaust shop could weld a new cat into the old downpipe? I am slightly worried about things lining up give how crazy this thing is.

theyd be able to sort something out
what do you mean by you cant get the new one to seal?

The joint from the pipe to the turbo is a spherical joint (maybe conical?). I spent the day loosening and re-tightening the bolts trying to get it to seat and seal. I did not have this issue with the old pipe. My suspicion is the new one was maybe not manufactured properly.
I was able to make it a little better, but ylit still shoots out from there.

ah yea
probably a conical seal
compare the 2 pipes and see if theyre different sizes or shapes
