They're over valuing the dumb sound system IMO. If the drive train isn't garbo and you can talk them down a little more and have yourself a nice little muscle truck
If you got it down to $5k and really want it you’re never going to get it cheaper. As long as the bed is definitely still on it. Wait 5 years they’ll be $7-8k.
Square body Chevy's have been getting top dollar for the past 5 years. Nice looking trucks. Check the undercarriage for massive rust and on the box wheel wells. Not a terrible price IMO
Not half bad, I can't tell if it's a shortbed or long bed, I just bought one last weekend, was told it was a shortbed but it was a long bed someone had made into a short bed but it was cut wrong, these trucks were super hot about two years ago and they're starting to come down, they make all kinds of aftermarket parts for these so anything you need you should be able yo find fairly easily
Ah fair enough, people have started gathering up long beds and just using them and having as much fun as the shortbed guys for probably around 1/2 price
Man at 5k Id be hard pressed not to buy it if it runs well and the ac works. I know its someone elses project but they arent getting any cheaper. You can still use it as a truck too. My 70 isnt as nice as that one and I love driving it.
5k is a pretty good deal. There could be a fair amount of rust hiding, but pretty much every panel of these trucks is being reproduced which makes it easier.

That's after emissions though
PiratedTuba@reddit
It's in Texas, emissions here means jack shit if it's older than 25 years.

Why is that firewall rusted out? Lol
Car_fixing_guy@reddit
I don’t think that’s rust. I think it’s seam sealer.
huge_jeans710@reddit
If you don't get it I will
NoRegret1893@reddit
Well old C10s are red hot in the market right now, so "worth it" becomes more like " do you want to pay to play?"

Got it down too 5k

I have a ford of the same era. Erabody gawkin’.
jeremy1973f@reddit
I was gonna say if you can get it down to 5, I’d jump on it. What engine is that? It looks like a 350 from a late model.
Mother_Cake_2322@reddit (OP)
Yeah it’s off a 89-98 5.7 350
Busterlimes@reddit
And the interior has been done. This is a fantastic start
Busterlimes@reddit
Worth it
loquedijoella@reddit
I’d do it at $5k
joberndt@reddit
Send some to the Midwest. They're all full of rust and brutally abused by farmers and such. They sure aren't making anymore of em

They're expensive? Shit, they're like cockroaches here in WA. You can get one in this condition or better for like $1200-3500.
Mother_Cake_2322@reddit (OP)
Got it down too 5k
joberndt@reddit
Buy that sucker or you will kick yourself if you miss it. They are getting harder to find.
igotnothineither@reddit

Needs a gas pump that’s all
Front_Masterpiece@reddit
If you can verify that, I wouldnt be afraid of it.
Mother_Cake_2322@reddit (OP)
Imma put gas through the carb and just make sure it runs well
