Haha I have had some pretty stellar naps lately, I dunno if they were so good that I thought I was back in the 90s though 😅

No, but I've had plenty about being back in high school/uni and failing this class or that one, usually math. Or - as a theatre major - going on stage to perform a lead role without giving the script a read. I was done with my university studies nearly 25 years ago.
Hoosier_Daddy68@reddit
One of my days off changes every week so it’s not uncommon for me to jump out of bed in a panic because I’m late on my day off.
Archibald_80@reddit
No, but for some reason reason I always dream I’m back in college, it’s the end of the semester, and I just realize I’ve forgotten to attend one of my classes the entire time and am now going to flunk.
L1QU1D_ThUND3R@reddit
Same
Kade7596@reddit
I've had that one a couple times, at least
Sometimes I even either mildly or wildly recreate the layout of the campus buildings lol
sherzisquirrel@reddit
I also have that dream... that and having to move and freaking out
Archibald_80@reddit
Alright, let’s all meet up behind the dream dorms and smoke a joint!
Cool_Dark_Place@reddit
Lol... I have dreams kinda like that, except I'm back in high school, but I'm my current age. For some reason, I have to retake all of my classes again in some kind of "Billy Madison" type of scenario. Very disconcerting.
ImA13x@reddit
Holy shit, I have the same dream!
drrj@reddit
Apparently there’s a lot of us.
Weird little variation, sometimes I instead dream I forgot or can’t find a huge paper or where/when my final is. I just dreamed I couldn’t remember or locate one of my college semester finals schedules like a week ago.
I graduated college in ‘98.
red286@reddit
I had that actually happen to me, although I didn't realize it until I got my grade transcript after the semester ended and saw a big glaring 0 for my English Lit class that I had thought was supposed to be the next semester.
LondonCalled15@reddit
I frequently have the same dream! Mine are always school related or else I’m trying to go somewhere and have left my packing/getting ready to the last minute, and now dream-me is running late. (Yes, I am extremely Type A in real life!)
Roland-Of-Eld-19@reddit (OP)
Haha right on, for some reason I dont dream much, maybe on 6 or 7 dreams a year, but when I DO dream they're especially strange and vivid
minibini@reddit
I used to dream that I missed a few credits in University and I’d have to go back to college. Then I wake up with a dreadful feeling.
NobodyLikedThat1@reddit
That dude is a rough 42
Roland-Of-Eld-19@reddit (OP)
Haha yeah he looks worse than my buddy who is 54
puma_pantss@reddit
I feel so left out. It seems I'm the only person that feels like absolute shit for the rest of the day if I have a nap.
shintojuunana@reddit
I told my husband to not let me nap. I get cranky, like really really cranky. I feel groggy, both too tired and too awake, and become an angry toddler. The exception is when I am legitimately sick, and then I wake up like a Disney princess with song and dance included.
mjp31514@reddit
My relationship with sleep is tenuous at best, so taking a nap totally obliterates my flimsy excuse for a sleep schedule. My wife, however, could probably sleep for days if she really wanted, so I understand feeling left out.
No_Squash_8127@reddit
Might be sleep apnea 🤔
No-Championship-8677@reddit
Yes this is me also! You are not alone!
Mega_Dragonzord@reddit
Nope, I am the same way. I wake up in a cold sweat with my heart pounding. I can only nap when I am really sick, and even then I usually don't.
splanchnick78@reddit
Oh no, I’m with you, naps make me feel awful.
AintNobody-@reddit
Yeah, I can only nap if I’m sick. If I’m just a little sleepy in the afternoon and take a nap, when I wake up I always feel overheated and like my heart is racing.
But those sick naps, oh man they feel great.
puma_pantss@reddit
I just feel so groggy that its usually just the end of my day. If I had prior plans, they're over.
pcoltimber@reddit
I dream that I forgot to feed my dog that died in 2004. Or a close second. I'm late for a football game, and I forgot my pads.
ccduke@reddit
I had dreams I was in high school again lol
3OsInGooose@reddit
I routinely get the "we screwed something up with your transcript and you actually need to come back and do a semester of college." It's always move-in day.
My wife sometimes joins me, but never the kids.
burnafter3ading@reddit
I literally had a dream that I had a research paper due. I finished my MA in 2008
Ed_geins_nephew@reddit
I never missed the school bus. I was either on it or I was skipping that day.
Roland-Of-Eld-19@reddit (OP)
Either make the bus or hang out with this guy
pawogub@reddit
I recently had a high school dream. I was panicking cause I didn’t know what my schedule was or where to go. I was super embarrassed and thinking what happened how could I forget this?
Then I woke up and remembered I’m 41.
Jolly-Persimmon-7775@reddit
I’ve been living rural since Covid but in my dreams I’m always in my 20s-30s still wandering around a big crowded city. And my younger brother is perpetually how I remember him from childhood.
Consistent-Camp5359@reddit
Occasionally lol. I am also bipolar and if I sleep in past time to take my meds…I feel like I visit other dimensions and different lives I’m living. One is still me in school. I hate it.
Ok-Potato-4774@reddit
Ever get up, get ready for work, and start driving to work, then realize it's Saturday morning, and you work Monday through Friday? I have once.
Roland-Of-Eld-19@reddit (OP)
Haha now that WOULD suck! 😅
Ok-Potato-4774@reddit
It really happened to me about twelve years ago. That's a big sign I needed a vacation.
Roland-Of-Eld-19@reddit (OP)
Overdue for sure!
jeophys152@reddit
I have dreams that I am back in high school all the time, but I am back in high school at my current age
red286@reddit
How do you do, fellow kids?
DriftlessHang@reddit
If that guy is 42 then I guess I shouldn’t feel too bad about myself
red286@reddit
Looks like Jon Stewart. He's only 42, right?
Oh wait... 62.
Garthim@reddit
Lol my first thought: that's a hard 42
amindfulloffire@reddit
Or that weird feeling when you nap in the afternoon, only to wake up and think it's dawn when it's only dusk.
Roland-Of-Eld-19@reddit (OP)
Haha scrambling to get ready for work and then you're like OH I'M STILL ELEVEN HOURS EARLY 😅
Slammogram@reddit
I be confused.
Is it night? What day is it? What year is it?
How did I get here?
THIS IS NOT MY BEAUTIFUL HOUSE! THIS IS NOT MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE!
Roland-Of-Eld-19@reddit (OP)
Haha scrambling to get ready for work and then you're like OH I'M STILL ELEVEN HOURS EARLY 😅
Mountain-Fox-2123@reddit
At 41 i have never after i finished school, woken up and thought was late for school.
PhysicsStock2247@reddit
A couple times a year I wake up in a panic that I overslept and my paper route customers are angry that the Sunday morning newspaper is late.
Low_Bird_8218@reddit
Ha that's funny.
DETRITUS_TROLL@reddit
I do have stress dreams about jobs I haven't worked at for over 10 years.
So that's fun.
tobethesky@reddit
Eaglepursuit@reddit
Sometimes I wake up from a nap and scramble to get ready for work because it's 7:45. Then I realize it's PM, not AM
Roland-Of-Eld-19@reddit (OP)
Haha I did that one once or twice!
JUKE179r@reddit
