Follow up to yesterday's storage unit post. More pics as promised!

We ended up moving about 60 pallets worth of inventory. It's been mind blowing to say the least! One of our storage trailers actually sank into the pavement from all the weight of the computers (we estimate about 60,000 lbs)!!
For those who have asked, I'm located in the Midwest US.

The first computer looks like it should have an option to attach defibrator pads.

I used one until the company went bust in 2009. It had the expansion chassis, and we added an Azure trace card to capture printer data from an IBM 3270 or 5250 device.

That Compaq Portable III! Great nice fund.

I see a few cool things and a ton of e-waste. Most of it looks in the obsolete but not quite vintage category.

Yeah - stuff like the modems. The hard drives though. Holy moly, thatβs a good stash.

The computers I'd dispose of immediately are those nasty grey Dells. They appeared right at the time when the great capacitor scandal hit, and they failed bad when they did. Not all had the congenital defect, but enough did to undermine my own trust in the brand, at least until it was corrected over many years.
Also, they have the worst aesthetics, in my opinion.

Agreed. A good chunk of it will end up at boardsort, I'm sure.

60 pallets is more of a small warehouse than a storage unit. π

Dude, you got a Dell

What a trove! Even some old CROWN audio gear.
lunatikdeity@reddit
I noticed the audio equipment immediately. Taken to a repair shop and Iβm sure almost all of it will work flawlessly for several more years.

Wow. Where should I show up with my disposable income. Please say you're somewhere in Michigan. :)
supersapiosexual@reddit (OP)
I'm in kansas city

Oh wow! Wish I had some space, as old computers β especially PCs and PC-compatibles β rarely show up for sale here in Missouri.

Well, that trailer will suck to get up again :P That was some poor asphalt and materials under it :S Would understand if it was a container on legs, but most ground should hold a semi trailer when parked on asphalt. Oh well, i'm a bit jealous on that haul, we dont do stuff like this in my country
kompzec@reddit
Seriously man that is one hell of a haul !!!!
queequegtrustno1@reddit
