I’ve always wondered - are Greeks white?

More interestingly, how do Greeks perceive themselves? How do they perceive their racial identity in comparison to the “standard Germanic/Celtic whites” a là UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Holland, etc.

Do they feel they are less racially white compared to Western & Northern Europeans? Do they feel they are not even white at all?

For me, as a Somali, I’ve always viewed Greeks as white-ish. I view them as the same as the Lebanese, Syrians, etc. and such because they look so similar to Levantine Arabs.

But anyways, what say you.
