I have a pair. They are decent aside from having to change the batteries every range trip but you can get a bunch on Amazon for pretty cheap. The biggest complaint I have is that they pick up wind noise pretty easily.

I'll have to test them out more. But I had them for maybe 4 months and only used for one range sesssion. Had to replace batteries. Right now I only use it when I shoot indoors/use a helmet and need to double up so we will see if it persists. Might have to swap to something else

these use hearing aid batteries--as soon as you expose them to air they start draining, so they will go dead even if you take them out of the device.

it may work--I don't know enough about the chemistry to say for sure if removing oxygen prevents further discharge. But I doubt the hassle is worth the savings--the batteries are not that expensive.

Main reason I have not bought a pair is it seems like how often I use them the batteries would always be dead which would be super annoying.

I use regular Bluetooth earbuds under my electronic Walker muffs. Plenty quiet and I can listen to podcasts etc while I shoot.

My earbuds aren't really noise-cancelling and the Walkers have the pass-through sound, so absent someone talking really low I can usually hear pretty good, enough to hear the guy two lanes down ask his buddy/the RSO if they have a tiny screwdriver and being able to offer him mine.

I wouldn't mind getting a Bluetooth muff set-up though. I've just been doubling up because folks like to come into my indoor range with their braked ARs, Dracos etc and have your teeth-rattling, so I've been leaning more towards protection over being able to hear on the range better.

I've tried these, the battery doesn't last that long and they're pretty uncomfortable if you're doubling up.

I use Walker Razor Slim w/Surefire Sonic Defenders under them. By far the best setup I've ever had.

They CLAIM 80 hour battery life but it even says it "uses a low amount of battery even when turned off" which makes no sense to me. I got like 4 hours of range use out of them and then they died, so no idea if I just had a defect or what.
