7600(x) and 5070/9070xt

Never buy the 5060ti 8gb and never pair a 9800x3d with a midrange gpu such as this. Buy a 9600x and you can get a 5070 or something.

Don’t go for an 8GB GPU in 2025 🙏. Makers are just producing those for some extra cash.
First combo beats all the way

Never get an 8gb

Unless you play exclusively esports type games, 9800x3d + 5060ti is a really bad combo. You'd be better off with 9600X + 5070.

I'm doing rendering and just 1080p gaming
Confident_Natural_42@reddit
You need VRAM for rendering so all the more reason to get the 16 GB model.
ErykLamontRobbins777@reddit
Are you able to get one model higher of GPU with a 7700x instead of a 9800x3d? It doesn’t really make sense to spend the extra money on the 9800x3d with a 5060 ti I don’t think
Own_Seaworthiness515@reddit
What is this build for? Assuming its for gaming in 1440p you could drop down to a 7500f and upgrade to a 5070/9070/9070xt

Go for that first one, 8gb cards are pointless in 2025
Phloof_@reddit
The 16 GB GPU is a must in my opinion. 12 is acceptable. 8 trash.
Biene1111@reddit
The 8gb model sucks and you'd just be overspending on your cpu. 7700x + 5060ti 16gb is by far the better option.
Muted_Price9933@reddit
That’s a bit of an overkill for the 5060 ti imo
MickyG1982@reddit
The 16gb card beats the pants off its 8gb brethren. Go for that one.
