If the West genuinely opposed political interference in other countries, they'd present a draft treaty to set limits on such activities. The reality is, they see themselves as having an exclusive right to subvert and meddle in other countries. It's okay when the Gardener does it, and the Gardener does not concern himself with the opinion of the Jungle.
