Reasonable dentist composite/white filling

Hi neighbours, I went for a checkup in a clinic in Milton Keynes and they told me I need filling for one tooth which will cost £225.
Is this the normal price here in the UK? Can I find one for less than £150?
Also how NHS work for referrals to get the NHS prices if that’s even a thing?
Thanks for your help!

I think Oakridge is cheaper. They have their prices on their website: https://www.oakridgedentalcare.co.uk/dental-care/

Oh thank you! I will give them a call in the morning

Yes which is why people go abroad for treatment

How does that work? Do I need to call the clinic/practice directly and tell them I want to register as an NHS patient? If it’s as simple as that why not all people are doing it

Because there’s not enough places for everyone who wants to register unfortunately.
A lot of NHS places won’t do white fillings though, you may end up paying for that privately anyway even if you’re registered with an NHS dentist.

I see. Can you recommend a clinic with better price? That would be really helpful. Thanks!

Most practices have this information on their website. Nit had a filling in 20 odd years, so not really up on current prices!

because there will be a waiting list.
