[Shotgun] $799.00 Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol 12 Gauge 18.5" 7rd Shotgun Black Only

The A300 Ultimate Patrol has been 825 over on Bereli for a while but it seems the black version only is now 25 dollars cheaper, so shipping no longer kills the deal.
gnbuttnaked@reddit
Ordered it and it went through, but received an email 5 minutes later saying cancelled order. Hmm.
FaultySage@reddit (OP)
That is fairly strange. I got my A300 from them for even cheaper than this one. I'd honestly reach out.
gnbuttnaked@reddit
I think it was because of my VPN. I reordered and I think that went through.
FaultySage@reddit (OP)
That makes sense.
thelegendofcarrottop@reddit
This should be MSRP.
sturdybutter@reddit
Look I’m all for shit being cheaper, but why exactly? I paid 900 for mine a year or two ago and feel it was worth every penny. I think you’re extremely hard pressed to find anything close to this quality and reliability for under 1k. Again, not saying high quality guns should cost 1k plus but realistically that’s the world we live in.
thelegendofcarrottop@reddit
Because for a “combat shotgun” or “home defense shotgun” the market is $225 for a Maverick 88, $350 for a Mossberg Shockwave, and $400 for a Mossberg Tactical. Granted these are all pump action, but double the price of the Mossberg Tactical is probably about what a good semi-auto with these features should be.
Plus, the 1301s are arguably setting a price ceiling at $1,200.
$800 for the Beretta A300 seems like the right price point.
Mahlegos@reddit
You got downvoted to hell, but for what it’s worth I don’t think you’re entirely wrong. Mossberg just released the 940 SPX and it has some nice quality of life features that are going to give the a300 a run for its money and they can be had for around this price. So for the a300 to stay competitive (barring any major reliability issues like there were with the 930s), I’d say they will need to drop the street price closer to this on average to stay competitive.
thelegendofcarrottop@reddit
Reddit doesn’t always like logical, thought-through answers.
FloodedHoseBed@reddit
Never ever look up the price of even a low-mid tier over under shotguns, bro.
Mahlegos@reddit
For what it’s worth, I think this is going to be closer to average street price because the Mossberg 940 Spx is sitting around this point. I can and did pick the a300 over the 940, largely because I don’t personally trust the reliability of Mossbergs semiautos after the 930, but the SPX has some nice quality of life features (tang safety, pseudo headshield, direct mount for RMSc dot, tang safety, slightly longer tube to keep capacity even using roll crimped shells) that make it compelling.
This being the new street price will help it stay competitive.
josethehomie@reddit
Been wanting a shotgun is this good and for the price?
xKHAZx@reddit
this is a defense shotgun, not ideal for hunting
it kinda depends on what you're doing, like a ball peen versus a claw hammer
_Abe_Froman_SKOC@reddit
This right here. I really dont know why folks are getting so upset about it having a fixed choke. Were they planning on going pheasant hunting with their tactical boomstick?
BobBBobbington@reddit
Gotta have the BEST for shooting full silhouette targets from 5 feet away. That's how I imagine 90% of these are being used tbh.
Mahlegos@reddit
I’m usually about 21 feet away thank you very much.
xKHAZx@reddit
everyone just wishes there was a "do-everything" gun but nobody wants to admit it will never exist
FaultySage@reddit (OP)
I don't know what you're talking about, I have at least 8 "do-everything" guns.
FaultySage@reddit (OP)
For a reliable semiautomatic shotgun this is the best price you are going to get. For a range toy you can find cheaper.
If you don't want a semiautomatic you can get a reliable pump action for 200-300 dollars cheaper.
iFightForOurRights@reddit
You can get the Maverick 88 deal I posted a few days ago that include hunting and security/tactical barrels for $241.99 still. A highly reliable shotgun for a great price.
Icy_Turnover1@reddit
Keep in mind this model (black) has a fixed choke, which limits its usage if you ever intended to use it for anything besides a range toy or home defense gun.
Lizard_Wizard_d@reddit
Good shotgun dunno about price though.
billytoad631@reddit
Code thankyou5 brings it to 759 shipped
grypehon@reddit
Thanks daddy. Got 1
404-no-fund@reddit
Fixed choke?
terryr21@reddit
Aw man, black is fixed choke.
JasonTheSpartan@reddit
They stopped making the tiger stripe variants right? Haven’t seen one in almost a year. When I passed up one for $999
No_Artichoke_5670@reddit
It was a limited edition. They've had a couple different limited edition color schemes. Everyone remembers that one because of how gaudy it was, and it being deeply discounted because of it.
FaultySage@reddit (OP)
Hey I look at that blue and white lightning and all I see is green.
No_Artichoke_5670@reddit
My local FFL had one in stock. It really didn't look nearly as bad in person. Whoever Beretta hired to do the photoshoot did them dirty.
terryr21@reddit
Most likely. Can't find them and last I saw one was at my LGS 2 months ago.
FaultySage@reddit (OP)
I believe all of these have interchangeable chokes. I know I can take the default one on mine off and the manual has a few options for alternate chokes.
Mahlegos@reddit
The SKU is ends in LE which indicates these are the law enforcement models which do have fixed chokes.
FaultySage@reddit (OP)
Transfer fee kills the deal.
Aaronweymouth@reddit
Nope 😩
404-no-fund@reddit
I’m pretty sure this J32CT11LE version doesn’t have a mobile choke.
Mahlegos@reddit
LE sku so yes.
4knovaa@reddit
Guys go to the bereli, they have the grey ones without the fixed choke for the same price
FaultySage@reddit (OP)
Grey ones still showing 825 for me.
4knovaa@reddit
My mistake, black is 799$ but the grey 825$ but still a better purchase then this deal
tilegend@reddit
Deals like this make it harder for me to stray from getting my beloved 1301
fanboyTWoC@reddit
I picked up my 1301 Mod 2 for 1200, with the caveat that its the 5rd tube version. My state only allows 5rds anyway for semi auto shottys so it worked out for me.
throwawayifyoureugly@reddit
Would converting to a 7-round tube just involve an extension and spring, or is it more complicated?
fanboyTWoC@reddit
Yep, just an extension. I think the spring depends on the company that makes the extension. For example, Nordic Comp says you can use the factory spring. GG&G doesn't say anything about using a different spring, so I assume factory is also good.
xcarlosxdangerx@reddit
It’s literally just that, very easy and straightforward, takes maybe minutes to install
FloodedHoseBed@reddit
Get the a300👹 I have the hunting version and it fucks so unbelievably hard.
Streetchadd@reddit
I have both. The 1301 is a better gun
fathertitojones@reddit
Is it twice as nice?
Streetchadd@reddit
The a300 is definitely worth the money. It’s a great value shotgun 100% reliable. The 1301 has the annoying spring twang when closing the bolt and that’s the only con. Better bolt system, easier takedown, easier cleaning. It’s essentially a beretta a400 and I think just different barrel mate up? I could be wrong on that
Hard-Rock68@reddit
Honestly? The A300 Ultima Patrol is 80 percent of the gun for 60 percent of the price.
StaryWolf@reddit
Well yes, it's twice the price.
thismyotheraccount2@reddit
Stay strong brother... I'm right there with you
Foreign-Frame-7200@reddit
Agreed
gnbuttnaked@reddit
Does anyone know off hand if this is CA legal? Does the CA model have anything diff?
throwawayifyoureugly@reddit
CA model?
Here is the 'assault weapons' legalese...looks like this would be gtg.
https://oag.ca.gov/firearms/regs/awd
https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?sectionNum=30515.&lawCode=PEN
gnbuttnaked@reddit
I assumed that california stores had a CA specific model but maybe not. Thanks for the info
elevenoneone@reddit
I don’t own a shotgun but want one. How bad a mistake is it to buy the fixed choke?
nope_noway_@reddit
You will likely never change it on this
stormquantage@reddit
Just let you know, if you do not want to torture yourself for not getting the removable choke one In the future, the same seller has a grey one with a removable choke for $25 more. Peace of mind for the future and everything. Your choice.
elevenoneone@reddit
Ahhh. $25 extra for the option. I guess it’s good to have even if I never change it.
FaultySage@reddit (OP)
The biggest issue is changing the choke if you want to use specific shot for hunting. Granted this isn't exactly a hunting shotgun anyway. If you want a shotgun to shoot at the range and/or defensive situations you will never have an issue.
LordofCope@reddit
Get away from me algorithm... I have no money this month.
ipwn3r456@reddit
There's always the credit card...
Feeling-Big2595@reddit
Went with the black a300 for my first shotgun and it EASILY took the number 1 spot as my favorite gun in my collection. Have yet to experience a shell it can’t handle. Reliable, extremely easy to take apart and clean, and smooth. Perfect first HD shotgun for me. Would absolutely jump on this deal if you’re thinking of getting one.
68spcwhore@reddit
940 > a300 gang
Total_Koala8304@reddit
I am curious if you are speaking from experience. Some of the reviews I see for mossberg 940 say that they jam quite a bit.
BTDTgot_the_tshirt@reddit
I AM. My 940 PT has never malfed with Buck or Slugs. 3 years now.
68spcwhore@reddit
I had a 940 jm pro, shot probably 2k rounds of assorted 2.75” and 3” shells. Only issues I ever had with it was with Winchester low recoil low noise trap loads.
I sold that 940 to buy a a300. I definitely received a lemon but it left a bad taste in my mouth. 2.75” shells would constantly get stuck on the lifter and not chamber. Didn’t matter if it was the cheapest bird loads or more stout slugs/buck. Took it to Beretta, they said they fixed it but same results next range trip.
Sold that lump of shit and got a 940 spx and it’s also been flawless after 1300ish rounds. Just oil every couple hundred rounds and it’ll run anything except the previously mentioned Winchester loading.
Total_Koala8304@reddit
Thank you for your response! I think I am going to try to rent it at the range next time to try it out.
TaskForceD00mer@reddit
After having a 930 that was a Jam-O-Matic for a few years ; I will forever be a Beretta shotgun guy going forward.
I hope they fixed the issues in the 930 series in the 940; but the A300 and 1301 are just reliable
68spcwhore@reddit
No experience on the 930 but I’ve had 2 different 940’s and both have been fantastic. I left a different comment about my experience with an a300, I got a lemon basically.

DAMMIT.
If I weren't going on a big family vacation already this summer...
