Can my boss pressure me into working another shift when I booked one off for holiday?

I have requested wednesday off because my birthday is tuesday and ill be out late drinking etc However my boss emailed and called and pressured me into working the friday (usually my day off). Should this not count as switching shifts instead of a holiday? He does this all the time and its frustrating especially because i also have plans friday but felt pressured to work. Shouldnt holiday JUST BE holiday and not have to work another shift? Otherwise he’s taking a holiday off me and still having me work another shift. For extra info im a support worker paid monthly.

Sounds like you need to learn to say no

If you have booked Wednesday as annual leave, then you have annual leave and you can (politely) tell your boss that you have no obligation to work on your usual rota'd day off.
If you haven't booked it as annual leave then it could be a shift swap.
Make sure you have that clarified.

You haven't had your contractual holiday so if he keeps doing it without either paying you extra or giving you your holiday back, then yes he is effectively stealing from you.

Can he, technically yes. Should he? No. Unless you don't have any holiday allowance left, although in that case, he should have worded that better and made it clear that you don't have holiday allowance and will need to do a shift swap if you want to take that day off.
If you booked it off from your holiday allowance then you should be paid for the day off as well as Friday. Depending on your contract, Friday may also be billed as overtime. Otherwise this would be counted as a shift change.

If you want to not use any holiday then its a shift swap.
Now you're just using holiday and doing a shift voluntarily another day.

Of course they're allowed to ask, but they shouldn't penalise you if you say no.

What does your contract say about your shift pattern/shift allocation/hours?
It's not "holiday" to move your shift from a day you should've been working to another day when you shouldn't have been working.
Say you work 40 hours a week and that's 4x10hr shifts (8am to 6pm) and do Mon-Thurs. If you book off Wednesday then they cannot take a day of holiday and also make you work 8am-6pm on Friday.

Ahh that’s standard practice in the support worker role, can’t say I miss it.
If you don’t want to do it and you’re not rostered on, just say no.

I mean, he can try, and you can say no.
If you've used annual leave for your Wednesday, then you should indeed be getting TOIL or overtime pay for working Friday.
